Hello and happy Monday! This is the last official week of summer vacation here, so I hope to be busy checking off a lot of things from my to-do list over the next few days! I’ve spent most of my time working on quite a few behind the scenes type of projects, but I do have some weekend quilting to share today!
I pieced another block for my Splendid Sampler quilt. This one is called Whirling
in Circles, Block 53, and was designed by Deb Roberts. It was a lot of fun to make, although I think I needed a bit more contrast in my center sections.
I’ve been doing a lot of Olympics viewing the last couple of weeks as well, and have been trying to have some handwork to do each evening while watching. So, I finally got the hand-stitching of the binding finished up on my Scrappy Nine Patch quilt the other night. I think I’m actually caught up on bindings now!
Hope you got some sewing in this weekend!
Thanks so very much for stopping by!

Wow…your nine patch really looks great and like what you chose for the binding. Enjoy the last of your summer break Sherri and hope that you did all that you wanted to get done this summer. It sure goes by quickly and as they say "Time Flies"….;)))

Love your block and your finished nine-patch:-)
It's always amazing how fast summer is over and when you look back you (or at least me) only got half of the things done I put on my list before summer started.

Love the whirling circles star block. Will definitely put that on my to do list…. I swear I need to live at least to 100 to get all my to do list done… So many patterns, so little time.
Thanks as always for sharing

Sherri, what size are your squares for the Scrappy 9 patch? I love this pattern and need to use up my scraps. This is a perfect paytern.
Thanks
