Hello and happy May Day! Hope your week is off to a great start! I love starting each month with a parade of little quilts, and this month I’m sharing some Vintage Mini quilts (pattern by Camille Roskelley of Thimbleblossoms).
I was determined to make this one, even though things have been just a little
more than crazy busy here! As you can see, I didn’t get it all the way finished, but at least it’s ready for quilting!
I used mostly Creekside fabrics with a little bit of Desert Bloom added in to make it even more scrappy!
I’m going to quilt it with simple straight lines and use one of the golds for binding! Then it will go up on the wall!
And I have three others to share today! First up is Brenda’s lovely Bonnie & Camille scrappy version…love it!
And then Karen made a patriotic version…so she’s ready for the holidays just around the corner!
Hildy also made a Bonnie & Camille version…I just love the setting for her mini!
Michele and I were thinking pineapples would be fun for next month’s parade. You have a couple of options…You can make one block as I did for my pineapple mini (see the original post here). This will finish 8″ x 14″ without borders. Free PDF pattern for this block here.
Or…you can make an even more mini version…I’ve done the math for two mini sizes: 4″ x 7″ and 6″ x 10 ½″…get the PDF for the mini pineapples here.
The smallest size makes a terrific pincushion while three of the middle size would make a fun little mini to hang on the wall. The possibilities are many…it’s going to be fun to see what you come up with!
Don’t forget to stop by Michele’s blog to see the rest of the Vintage Mini quilts!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
PS Congrats to Betsy who is the winner of the Quilt Sandwich giveaway–I’ve sent you an email!

And yes for pineapples I've made one mini block last year for a gift bag for my brother and it turned out really cute.
