I had so much fun making this quilt. It went together easily, and I have a terrific method for assembling the center sections so you won’t have any cut off corners..just perfect points!
My friend Abby of Latimer Lane Quilting did the terrific quilting, using a perfectly-proportioned orange peel design. She was amazing…receiving it and quilting it one day and shipping it out the next–thanks Abby!
I also need to say a big thank you to Kate who helped me out last minute with binding for this quilt. Thanks, Kate!
My second new design is called “Blossoms,” and it’s another fun quilt to piece. I had the design in my sketchbook, and the second I saw Bonnie & Camille’s newest Moda collection, April Showers, I knew I wanted to use it for my version of this quilt.
Blossoms finishes at 62″ x 78″ and is jelly roll and layer cake friendly (or use fabrics from your scrap bin).
Again, Abby did a wonderful job on the quilting. In fact, I had another design picked out for this one, and she suggested I keep looking…I’m so grateful she suggested some other options because eventually we found what I think was a perfect pattern for this–the clam shell (don’t the clam shells sort of make you think of umbrellas?).
Patterns are available in my Etsy shop here with the PDF files available for instant download. Paper copies printed in full color will ship after I’m home from quilt market. To celebrate, I’m offering a pre-market discount price of $7.00 for all paper and pdf patterns in the shop. Special pricing is good through Wednesday.

Thanks so very much for stopping by!
