Welcome! Today is my day for Monique’s blog hop for her new book Traditional Fat Quarter Quilts: 11 Traditional Quilt Projects from Open Gate (Quiltmakers Club)! I’m excited to share my project with you today! The quilt I’m highlighting today is Canasta…I immediately fell in love with the block design, but I chose this quilt for another reason as well. I have such fond memories of playing Canasta nearly every day one summer with a great-great Aunt who had come to visit for several months!
Canasta is made up of simple blocks that consist of 4 flying geese, 4 four-patch blocks, and a center 9-patch. The hardest part for me was choosing fabric! (I finally decided on Heirloom by Joel Dewberry).Monique’s books are clear and easy to follow. She gives instructions if you are using her Fit to be Geese ruler as well as instructions for those who want to make the flying geese blocks the traditional way.
When I started I had decided to make 4 blocks and make a pillow top. But then I thought it might be fun to make a runner for spring with these gorgeous fabrics!
Just 5 blocks…
And a narrow border using the background fabric…
Here is the photo of Monique’s beautiful full-sized version of the quilt…so stunning!

I love the blocks and it looks like it will make a fresh spring colored table runner 🙂

My favorite spring cleaning tip is to hire someone reputable to come and do your windows. Once the windows are sparkling, you'll be inspired to continue with your spring cleaning!
Siobhán says
What a pretty table runner that will be! Love the blocks!
My favorite cleaning tip–not just for Spring, though–is one I recently picked up via Pinterest. Keep dryer sheets after they've been used in the dryer and repurpose them as glass cleaner for shower stall doors. They're great for getting into the pebbly/uneven surfaces to wipe away soap build up!
Sallie says
Put on some energetic music and get moving. Thanks for the giveaway!
Dee says
I love your blocks and choice of fabrics. I would so love to have this book. Thank you for your hard work. My favorite cleaning tip: Hiring my grandaugher to dust – hate dusting – and it is win win situation as she gets money for her pocket.
DebrafromMD says
I always volunteer to host Easter dinner. That gives me the motivation to get on with the Spring cleaning.
Needled Mom says
Spring cleaning to me is always getting the windows done so you can enjoy the colors OUTSIDE! That always inspires me to keep going.
I love the idea of the table runner in those beautiful fabrics.

Love, love, love this block! And your fabrics are beautiful. Spring cleaning is usually triggered when spring finally arrives. Here is South Dakota that could be anywhere from March to late May. And like some of your other readers, my favorite thing to get done is washing windows.
Johanna says
When doing spring cleaning, I have to make sure I set the timer so I stop to eat lunch. I hate cleaning, but once I start I can't stop. Also, I need to make sure that I drink plenty of water since I usually get hot.
LM says
My spring cleaning tip…
1. Get started.
2. Don't do any regular cleaning. Just the stuff you only do once per year.
🙂 Thanks for the giveaway.

spring cleaning tip: a little remodeling project and fresh paint on baseboards is making me feel like a million bucks! {but i call it the "if you give a mouse a cookie" syndrome – once you get started, it's hard to stop.}
this syndrome might apply to your gorgeous quilt blocks, too. they're beautiful!
Petit Design Co. says
Molly Maid?! LOL
Actually I like to use newspaper (black and white pages only) and your choice of window cleaner for cleaning the windows
Sue says
Thank you for a chance to win this wonderful new book ! Spring cleaning for me is 1 room at a time listening to Michael Buble !
Threads by Terry says
My cleaning for spring would be go room by room. it helps me stay focused and some rooms dont need as much attention..
Carol C. says
Spring cleaning — start with windows, clean 1 room at a time, and declutter as much as possible!!I love this block, and the fabrics are so pretty!!
Kay says
My favortie spring cleaning hint is to let your husband wash the windows. He has taken that on as his job which is fine with me.
Nanette Merrill says
Oh my gosh I hate spring cleaning. I was just looking at my windows. I try to do a little at a time. Like just the kitchen windows or just one drawer. Love the blocks. Looks like a great book.
Dresden Quilter says
My favourite tip is once I have a bag of things to give away, I put it outside on my porch, so I am not tempted to go through it again. Thanks for the giveaway.
carol fun says
I love your runner! This is a great pattern and I have to say the name Canasta took me back to my childhood. My mom & dad played Canasta all the time with other couples in our 1960's tract home neighborhood — good memories!
Monica says
My favorite spring cleaning tip? Hire a housekeeper! It makes spring cleaning sooooo much more enjoyable…hahaha.
Deb says
Very pretty, looks like the book has several patterns that I would like to make. Spring cleaning tip…leave it for fall, there's quilting to be done!
SueB says
Love the blocks that you are making. They are just my colors. I am enjoying the blog hop..
Sinta Renee says
I saw that pattern when I flipped through the book and I thought the same thing! I loved the block but I also have great memories of playing Canasta with my grandma! Your blocks are beautiful!
My car takes a beating during the winter and my Spring cleaning tip is for my car. I spray some windex on a paper towel and wipe down my car seats. It gets dog hair right off and freshens up the upholstery also. Windex also gets spots out of the carpet. (a tip I learned from an antique dealer who used it to remove spots on antique rugs)!
iluvmybugs says
Beautiful table runner..love the fabric!!
My favorite Spring cleaning tip is getting the windows cleaned.
Bari Jo says
Well my favorite tip would be to wait til fall to deep clean and just quilt this spring! :O) But, seriously, I do love it when the windows sparkle! Starting with the windows and then go room by room as I can get to it. Love the runner you made – great idea to try new blocks! Her book looks great and I love her flying geese ruler! Works wonderfully! Thank you for the opportunity to be entered into the drawing!
Mary says
Love the block. It is my favorite so far from the new book. Cleaning – get your carpets clean. I think everything looks better after that is finished. Thanks for the chance to win.

Favorite tip – have company, that always makes me do some deep cleaning! Love your blocks and color/fabric choice!!
Lisa Marie says
To me "spring cleaning" sounds like drudgery but "remodeling" sounds great. And if you're repainting and such, there will of course be lots of cleaning that gets done as well.
Diann says
Spring is the time for washing windows so that all the lovely light outside can make it inside too!
baquilter says
Love the blocks, the fabrics you chose, the colors, and the table runner you made from them! Well done!
My favorite spring cleaning tip is how to get the pollen gunk off of cars. Spray an area of the car with green soap and let it sit there a few minutes. Power wash and off comes the gunk! Continue until you can once again see the car's paint color! 🙂
Thanks for the chance to win a prize!
Cheers!

I love mopping my floors with Murphy's Oil Soap and washing the windows with vinegar. Everything smells so fresh and it reminds me of home when I was a youngster.
Really like your Canasta runner!!
Bev says
Love this block! As soon as the weather starts getting warmer, I open my windows. Everything seems better with fresh air moving through the house. Gives me an extra incentive to do big cleaning.
Kathy MacKie says
What-we're supposed to do Spring cleaning-I must of missed the memo! Great book by the way and if I have to do cleaning I like to start with windows and still love my Windex for these.
JoAnne says
I love the very fresh-looking blocks! My favorite spring-cleaning tip is to do some purging! Then there is less to clean, right?
Sharmond says
Love your block! So fresh and spring timey! I don't know if I have a good tip. I like to wash windows in the spring and do a little putting away of "stuff" so things appear a little cleaner.
Terrie says
Favorite spring cleaning tip…not my favorite part of spring but ok,
if you have teenagers, put them to work 🙂 !!!
Love your block and that book looks wonderful !!!
Jennie P. says
Well I use baking soda for everything. It's great at getting "stuck on things" off without ruining the surface. It's great for whitening too. I use it on my kitchen cabinets if they start to look discolored.
Miss Jean says
My best Spring cleaning tip? Just keep the house up all year so you don't have such a large job to do in the spring. Then when the weather is nice, open the windows and enjoy!
I love the fabrics you have chosen for your project. It seems like designers are moving back to white backgrounds rather than the ecru that was so prevalent for so long. They look so nice and crisp and clean!
Shelley says
Best Spring Cleaning Tip..hhhmm, I open all the windows and let the fresh air blow out the stale winter air and use lemon scented everything for cleaning products! Love the block done with the dark colors on the outside 🙂
AmandaA says
I hate cleaning but love the results. So I do one room at a time and that gives me the motivation to move on to the next. Love your quilts.

I hate the spring cleaning process but love the results. Clean windows and fresh curtains are my favorite.
Elaine M says
Love your blocks. Invite guests at the end of the month. Having company coming makes you find time to clean.
streetbirds says
Hydrogen Peroxide and baking soda, applied for about 5minutes and then scrubbed out, will remove almost any stain from carpet. I've even used it on graphite and almost, almost, you can't tell there was ever an issue.
WoolenSails says
I really like your version. I have been looking at blocks and quilts with similar patterns, and trying to figure out which one I want to do and colors.
Debbie
Lesley says
Love your table runner. Fabrics are gorgeous! My tip is to clean year-round so you do't waste time Spring cleaning when you could be quilting!
Carrie P. says
I just love those fabrics you are using in those blocks. Beautiful!
VickiT says
Your runner is just beautiful. That is a great block.
My favorite Spring cleaning tip would be to do one room at a time and get it done before going on to the next. Once one room is done and sparkling clean it will give the energy to do the rest. Plus, clear stuff out. If you don't use it then get rid of it to declutter each room as you go. Once you have made the decision to toss/donate something, don't look back. Don't look through that box/bag again or you'll start pulling things back out again; just let them go on your first instinct without second guessing your decision.
Julie in WA says
I don't think I have ever done a real spring clean, but the one piece of advice comes from my mother: don't forget to dust the mopboards! Most newer homes no longer have mop boards; instead there is trim along the floor where it meets the wall. And I have always kept the trim dusted!
Raina says
I love that these are called Canasta! This past fall, three friends and I started gathering once a week (or so) to play Canasta. A little social time while the kids are in school.
First thing to do, take down the curtains and get them right in the wash. Hang all the lace and sheers right from the washer. They lose some of that good clean smell in the dryer.
ritainalaska says
piece it out! a job a day! takes more time, but then you have time for the important things like quilting. and you don't get wiped out trying to get it all done and over with. great block pattern!
Susan C says
Love that block and how you put it together for a wonderful table runner. My best spring cleaning tip is to get my husband to help. He moves the heavy furniture and vacuums under it, washes the outside of the windows and cleans the porch furniture. Sharing the chores is so much better than doing it alone.
Laurel says
Love your spring table runner!
Spring cleaning tip – enlist your husband to climb the ladder and help with the plant ledges, ceiling fans, etc. This year his idea was to take out the fake plants and just spray them down with a shower from the hose. Worked great, looks great, and takes far less time than the leaf by leaf approach.
Terri in BC says
My favourite spring cleaning tip is spend 15 minutes a day on something I wouldn't normally do as part of my regular cleaning routine. Thanks for the opportunity!
Jeannette says
I might be strange but I love spring cleaning, I carry around all my cleaning supplies in a basket with cloths, cleaning products altogether so as I move from room to room it is all there. Then I play loud msuic as I move from room to room.
{ Heather } says
I like the idea of using the blocks for a table runner. What an exquisite whole quilt photo, too!
As far as spring cleaning goes, the best tip I have is to recruit the whole family. Many hands truly does make for light work.
Brenda says
Spring cleaning g tip is to play music while cleaning will help the time to pass and to get the family to help out too.
Bunny says
When my ovens are set to self-clean the racks need to be removed. Rather than spend a few hours cleaning the 6 racks using lots of elbow grease, I put the racks in a large garbage bag. I spray into the bag with oven cleaner coating the racks generously with the cleaner. I then close the bag tightly, wait a couple of hours and then can just rinse off the dirt.
Connie says
Beautiful blocks! I would love to win the book and ruler! Best tip for Spring cleaning…..open the windows, turn on some music and sing while you clean! That is the only way I can get my husband in the mood. Thanks for the giveaway!
Audrey says
I love the way you flip flopped the background fabric in the center! My favorite cleaing tip is setting a timer. Work like mad for 15 minutes and then take a break and read (or sew!) for 15 and then back at it… You would be amazed at how much you can get done – both cleaning and sewing/reading.

My spring cleaning tip is helping my husband clean out the garage. He knows I throw just about anything away. This way we both work at cleaning than just one person. Thanks for the giveaway!!!
Quilt Hollow says
I wish I had a great tip. Around here the pollen is so bad we can't open windows or we dust even more. Also we wait for pollen to settle for season and then power spray down the whole exterior of the house. It amazes me to see just how much settles in the red brick. My home is for sale so I must keep it real tidy every flipping day as is. This looks to be a very fun book!
Randi says
My spring cleaning tip is to make a list. I get satisfaction out of checking even the smallest of jobs off the list. It helps me to keep going when I can visually see my progress. Thanks for showing us the preview of Monique's new book! Love her!
Trudi says
What a beautiful runner! Spring cleaning? Little and often works for me 🙂 And a timer so I don't get sidetracked 🙂
Lauradublin says
Great giveaway! My favorite tip is vinegar mixed with water and newspaper for cleaning the windows.
Sorcha girl says
Thanks for the tablerunner idea, Sherri. I make them often when I don't have time for a quilt. A tablerunner is the right size to learn new blocks and create!
My favorite spring cleaning tip–weed a bit every day. It's good exercise.
Thanks for the chance to win one of Monique's books.
alexandrea says
My most useful tip is to concentrate on one room at a time. If there are things that need to be moved to another part of the house, I just put it outside the doorway until I'm done so I don't waste time wandering around the house and get distracted!
Lydia says
I love the colors that you used in your quilt. I always like to start with the windows. Once those are done I'm inspired to do the rest of it.
Mary says
Your tablerunner is going to be so pretty. Great use of color.
My favorite spring cleaning tip is to always start at the top and work your way down.
YOLANDA says
lovely very pretty
RSHudson says
I suppose the "tip" I use when cleaning (which isn't nearly often enough ;>) is to work down from the top, so the floors are always the last thing done. Thanks for chance to win! (marshudson at comcast dot net)

I think this is my favorite block so far. My spring cleaning tip is to go into your sewing room so you can't see the spring cleaning that needs to be done! It doesn't work for that long though. Thanks for a chance at the giveaway.

my favorite spring cleaning tip is….hire somebody to do it for you!! I would rather spend my time sewing a quilt top!

I have been making up a lot of runners lately. The funny thing is that they are too long for my kitchen table!! LOL
But I use runners on my china closets and dressers also so there are plenty of places for me to fill.
How do you plan on quilting your runner?

Spring cleaning? What is that??? 😀
For some reason I actually do 'autumn' cleaning. I've noticed that, for some reason, I tend to clean in the fall. I've tried spring cleaning, but it rarely happens. When I do a reorganization of the studio I always do the deep cleaning of mutant dust bunnies! (they are attracted to stray threads and bits of fabric you know)
Seriously though, I like using old washcloths with those Swiffer type mops to clean corners, ceilings, and ceiling fans. They wash up easy and don't waste as much as paper towels do. That is my only tip I can come up with!
Elisabeth says
Those are lovely!
My favorite spring cleaning tip is to spread your cleaning out over a week or so and set aside time each day for ONE room. I find focusing on one room at a time makes me feel less over whelmed!
And don't forget to go into each room with two trash bags. One for trash and one for goodwill!
Phyllis says
My spring cleaning consists of rushing through right before company arrives and cleaning anything that is visible. I'm not really the spring cleaning type..just do it when necessary
carol says
My spring cleaning tip – open the windows, let the warm breeze move the dust.
ytsmom says
Quilters don't clean, do they? I love Canasta because we used to play with my Grandma.

I think my best spring cleaning tip is to hire someone else to do it!
I'd rather be outside, digging in the dirt!
Mom on the Move! says
I love to open all the windows and air out my house! I know that's not cleaning, but it's something I do in the spring. Thanks!!!

Deb says
Oh my, what gorgeous blocks. I think this quilt top just might be my favority. I can see it done in so many different styles of fabrics.
I spend one entire day cleaning everything and then it's done and I don't drag it out for days or weeks.

No springcleaning for me. Even when I was a child it made me feel like my home was not my home any more. I really hate it. But the blocks off Canasta I love and that is more important for me.
Donna says
Spring cleaning this year means lots of hard decisions. I'm down-sizing into a condo by Fall and have to whittle down from 20+ years of quilting in this same house. Having fun with this blog Hop.
Sandy E-H says
I don't know if this is exactly a tip or not, but getting my windows clean and sparkly makes me feel like my whole house is ready for spring. I'm loving the quilts and projects I'm seeing on this blog hop. It would certainly be fun to win Traditional Quilts From Fat Quarters and Fit to Be Geese ruler. My favorite Spring Cleaning tip is to get a cleaner in, then you have more time for quilting!!
Karen says
Not really a tip, but more a personal tradition. I throw open all the windows and let the fresh air in through the house. After a long Iowa winter the air seems 'stale'.
That is a cool block pattern. Allows some flexibility in quilt size.
Michele says
I love your pick of blocks. I can see me playing with some fabrics and colors to make a quilt using this pattern. Thank you for the chance to win this book. My favorite spring cleaning tip is to start with the windows and mini blinds. Put on some upbeat music and just do it! It has such a magical effect on my energy level when that huge and awful project is done. I feel happy and jazzed when the windows are finally done. Makes the other things easier to do, when there's bright light and a breeze coming in the windows. Michele G Rochester NY
Sandy says
Love your blocks! My Spring cleaning tip would be to hire a maid. 🙂 – but since I can't do that, I suppose the best tip would be to pace yourself. Can't accomplish everything in one day.

I love the blocks, can't wait to get the book. My favorite spring cleaning thing is, cleaning all my windows. It just makes everything look brighter!

(Just kidding – sort of – I'd rather quilt than clean.)

My tip for spring cleaning would be to get HELP!!! 🙂 Include the whole family in this big job! Thanks for the opportunity to win such a great giveaway!!! 🙂

My comment disappeared! Spring cleaning tip – use a dry and wet Swiffer to clean floors – pace yourself and do not get overtired – some each day gets it done. Your Canasta runner is gorgeous. Thanks for the giveaway.

Just do one thing a day. Yesterday I took all the globes off the ceiling fans, bathroom lights, kitchen etc and put them in the dishwasher on china cycle. It did take 3 loads but that gave me plenty of time to clean the fans and the rest. Also I find "soft " socks are the best dusters for everything from wood shades to furniture. Cheap and easy to wash.
Sue Bone says
I'm in the process of learning to play canasta. It's a great game and a cute project.
Wendy P says
Spring cleaning? Hmmm, I would have to say get out the vacuum attachments and really use them on forgotten spots, like under the bed, louvered doors, ceiling fans, etc. The dust bunnies don't stand a chance!
Those Joel Dewberry fabrics and that block are so tempting! I don't think I could have stopped at 5!
Anita says
I love the blocks you made! Great color combo. I hate cleaning, but to make it easier I have everything I need in a bucket – gloves, sponges, wipes, etc. This makes it easy to find and inventory if I am out of something. Also, I do bathrooms first…since they're used most often I get to appreciate the fruits of my labor right away 🙂
Kathie says
very cute I love your table runner, sure says spring to me! Would love to make one like that, looks like a book I need to add to my library.
spring cleaning, yes this will be the week for that..
I make a list (I am a huge list maker!) and after checking off 5 things I allow myself 1 hr in the sewing room! really helps to reward yourself!

Every sampling from the book has been a treat! As to the spring cleaning… My best tip to anyone that asks… Get a good cleaning lady. I love my Cleaning Lady. She makes sure that when I get home from work, I can actually do some quilting vs thinking about the cleaning. I love her visits!
Betty says
My favorite tip is keep it simple. The less you have sitting around, the less you have to clean, move, rearrange, store, and dust. Betty

Spring cleaning tip – get someone else to do it. Truly, though, if you can get helpers, the work isn't so tiresome and does get done more quickly. Another tip – start early and do a room or a project a week, then let it go for a week and start up again a week later (this one takes discipline). Your table runner looks great and I will be looking forward to see the completed project.

Love your block. This book looks awesome. I like to clean out closets in the spring. I'm trying again, as the first time my comment would not go through. Thanks for the giveaway.

I love a room that's been cleaned from top to bottom and sparkles. I try not to kill myself getting it there and break it up over several days, or I do one cleaning step in multiple rooms. Today floors, tomorrow windows, then light fixtures etc. Thanks for offering the giveaway.

My favorite spring cleaning tip is use Murphy's Oil Soap. I absolutely love the smell and how it makes the wood shine. Also love how you can use it on any surface. Try it out … you will be hooked. Thanks for the chance to win.

Spring cleaning? Her name is Suzy, and she does a much better job than I ever could! Lovely colours on your table runner!

Each of your blocks made me go "oooh", Sherri! Beautiful runner. I don't do much spring cleaning but do like to purge closets and drawers–and be sure to keep the lists of donation items for tax writeoffs in ONE place so when your husband asks you for them at tax time you don't spend an hour searching for them everywhere…

Favorite Spring Cleaning tip. Uh…. well….. so…… yeah. I'm at a loss. Spring what? I'm NOT great at cleaning, but I'm super good at throwing things out. I like the, "If you haven't used it in a year and you didn't miss it, get rid of it" rule.
LOVE that runner– the fabric is amazing!

Wow so lovely! My spring cleaning tip is to start by the room that you hate most doing, then it encourages you to keep on going after that ""Bad Room" is done..
Please count me in for your great giveaway1

Don't be afraid to find a large garbage bag and be ruthless about things that are not being used- I worked in one small area not long ago was able to get rid lots of stuff that was no longer useful and taking up space.
Thanks for the chance to win such a nice giveaway prize.
Regards from Western Canada,
Anna

My fav cleaning tip, spring or anytime, is using my Norwex microfibre cloth to clean windows. I use a water dampened cloth to wipe the window then polish with the dry Norwex….I was really skeptical about buying one of these cloths as they are a ridiculous price…but I wouldn't be without it now for windows, mirrors, chrome etc. No smelly spray cleaners that leave me gasping!
Love the colours in your new quilt – saw a lot of that yellow at the LQS the other day!

I love to wash my curtains and hang them on the clothesline. Thank you for the generous giveaway!

I love your blocks. My favorite Spring cleaning tip is to hire a company to do it for you. No, seriously I never have to Spring clean because I have this system that I have used, and had my Au Pairs use when my children were young, whereby one kitchen cupboard gets cleaned out each week, everything gets cleaned on specific days and each room gets Spring cleaned every week. Works for me. Thanks for the opportunity of wining this book.

Love those blocks! They definitely look like spring! Thanks for the book tour and the giveaway!

My favorite tip is to get together with my sisters (I have three with one in Florida it's not easy getting together) and doing one house one Saturday and then on to the next the following. Work gets done and you get to have fun. End it with a great lunch or a shopping trip!

i like to invite people over! nothing motivates me to clean like having a get-together. 🙂

As someone else said previously, I tend to clean more in the autumn, as I like to work out in the yard when the weather gets warmer. This book looks great!

My cleaning tip is to plan a family party/get together at your house. For me that is the only thing that really motivates me to clean my whole house! Otherwise, it's just a little here, a little there when I have time.
Love all your quilts and your blog!!

A non spring cleaning tip, maybe not even a cleaning tip but I heard once that you need to make your bed every day. Then, every time you see it you will feel good because it is proof you accomplished something that day. I make my bed as I'm brushing my teeth each morning. Help's me remember to both brush and make the bed. Thanks, love the blocks.

My favorite spring cleaning tip is to set a time limit for each day. Something attainable and then spend an equal amount of time when you are done cleaning for the day on something you love to do.

I like your table runner. It's amazing how when you put all the blocks together the nice secondary design that appears. I always like that.
A spring cleaning tip from me??? Wow, that's a tough one. Hmmmm…..Try to do 15 minutes a day instead of one long bout of cleaning. Much easier to maintain. 🙂

Clean from top to bottom… Ceiling to floor…

Blocks are amazing, love those fabrics, beautiful springlike colours. My tip is to mix citrus essential oils with bicarbonated soda in a plastic bag, leave for a day to mingle and sprinkle over carpet to make it smell fresh. I also add essential oils to water when using an E cloth

My tip is to not do everything at one time. Space it out so it won't seem like such a chore. I always clean one room a day, cleaning it from top to bottom and washing all the things I can as I go.

Start with the new year and do a little bit at a time….by the time it is spring you can go out and enjoy the beautiful weather. Love the blocks and runner! Thanks!
Mary on Lake Pulaski says
Those blocks are so cute – I can see a whole quilt out of them.
My favorite spring cleaning tip is one for closets or any other storage area – if you have not worn/used it in the last twelve months – purge it!
Emily says
What cute blocks! My tip – one room at a time. If you try and do too much at once it becomes overwhelming.
Donna Becker says
My key to spring cleaning is to first place a big box near the door that goes to our garage. Then, as I tackle each area of the house, things that we no longer use or need go into the box. Once the box is full, it goes to Goodwill.
The second key is to NOT ask hubby whether he thinks something should go into the box! LOL!
Thanks for sharing your idea for a runner from the Canasta quilt!
