I’ve been a fan of Jennfer Chiaverini’s quilt novels for quite some time…so I was really excited to get an opportunity to preview her latest Elm Creek Quilts Novel, Sonoma Rose (Elm Creek Quilts)
.
While I love all of the books in the Elm Creek Quilts series, the ones set in different historical times have definitely been my favorites. Sonoma Rose is one of those historical novels and is set in California during the Prohibition era; the novel is one of those “can’t put it down” stories, and, well…I haven’t been able to put it down! I just started reading a couple of days ago and am now past the half-way point!

I love these books – you can't buy them in Australia so my husband has to hunt for them whenever he goes to the States – which is usually just before the next one comes out so I have to wait till the next trip. I read them then my quilt group lines up for a turn!

Oh, please enter me! I love her books… my favorite is "The Sugar Camp Quilt" and I'm trying to get my 14 year old to read it. She loves the history of the Underground Railroad and knowing that her great great grandfather's parents used it to bring him to Canada just makes it more real to her.

In fact when The Quilters Homecoming book came out and was advertised all over the HGTV channel, I wanted to read it, but found out it was part of a series…so, I had to start at the begining, and then I made my first quilt, a Christmas Log Cabin. I thought that if Sarah could make a quilt, then I could too! My mom had been quilting for 30 years and had tried to get me hooked, and I hated to sew, but this isn't really like "sewing", quilting is so much more than that!! Thanks for the chance to win!!
