Happy Tuesday! I realized while looking for a photo the other day that while I frequently share my smaller Christmas pillows, wall hangings, and projects, I haven’t shared my larger Christmas quilts in quite a little while…
so I thought today it would be fun for a Christmas quilt parade!
I think my favorite Christmas quilt of all time is my Scrappy Trip Around the World that I made with Christmas scraps. I made this a few years ago and backed it with a favorite hounds tooth flannel I had been saving for years.
This was a lap size quilt, and I’m wondering if my Christmas scraps have grown enough yet to make a bed-size version for next year because this really is my favorite Christmas quilt ever!
My Vintage Holiday ornaments quilt is another favorite…I made it using Aneela Hoey Christmas fabric and absolutely love this quilt, too.
Since I have my red and white quilt in the guest room right now, I figured I could count it as a Christmas quilt…this is a 2015 finish.
Last year’s Christmas quilt was the Lori Holt Christmas quilt along on Instagram. This is actually wall-hanging size, and I have it in my front entry this year.
I think the wreaths with their red bows are my favorite! I made this quilt using mostly Kate Spain Christmas fabrics with a few others mixed in!
I also made a scrappy patchwork tree skirt one year…and we have been using it every year since. I love getting this out each year! This tree skirt replaced the patchwork tree skirt I made the first Christmas after we got married. My daughter uses it now, and it’s fun to see it under her tree each year.
My Farmer’s Wife Christmas version quilt is on the quilt ladder in our front entry. When I first started sewing the Farmer’s Wife quilt I was making my blocks in duplicate…one set in Fig Tree with another set in Christmas fabrics. I didn’t make all of the blocks in Christmas fabrics, but I made enough for a nice-size quilt.
My most recent Christmas quilt finish–my Fig Tree red and green quilt–isn’t quilted yet…but it will be for next year for sure!
I’ve been making a list of projects I’m thinking of for next year, and after writing this post, I know another Christmas quilt is going on the list!
I’ll be back tomorrow with my final batch of finished-up gifts…thanks so much for stopping by!
Don’t forget that Craftsy classes are on sale for up to 50% off until the day after Christmas!
