Hello and happy Saturday everyone! Welcome to the Saturday Seven Inspiration for Quilters 72 post where I share fun things from around the web for quilters. I truly can’t believe I’ve been writing this post for 72 weeks, now–time flies! But I really do enjoy this series and have a lot of fun doing my research for it!
Saturday Seven Inspiration for Quilters 72
1. Harper’s Garden Pre-Orders
First up this week…I’ll need to make my final order for everything Harper’s Garden next week, so if you’re thinking of pre-ordering any fabric, bundles, or kits, please make sure those are in this weekend. You can shop the pre-order fabrics and kits here.
2. Quilting and Sewing of Course!
This article on “Hand Sewing Basics: Tips, Tools, and Techniques” provides information on basic hand-stitches and more. Find it here. Want to gift a handmade fitted crib sheet with a baby quilt? Here is a terrific tutorial for making one (with French Seams, too).
3. Thought Provoking
I loved this piece titled “Write a Slower Story.” It just resonated with me–find it here. I also loved this article on “Focus as an Antidote for Wanting to Do Everything.” It was good for me to read it and think about all of the many things I want to do…and which ones might be most essential. Read it here.
4. Summertime, Summertime
Every year for the past couple of years I’ve used this free printable summer calendar from Becky of Clean Mama to organize special projects. She’s got it ready early this year, and you can download it here. (She also has a ton of other great free printable pages on her site).
5. Recipes
I don’t know what it is about Beef Stroganoff…but I try nearly every recipe for it that I find. Can’t wait to make this “One Pot Beef Stroganoff” soon. This meatloaf recipe (especially the yummy glaze) is also on our rotation for next week. Get the Momma’s Meatloaf recipe here. I also loved this post (from Clean Mama again) on “6 Things I Meal Prep Every Week.” I definitely need to get more intentional about doing this. Find the article here.
6. Health & Beauty
Something new today…I never add this topic to the Saturday Seven, but I loved this post on “10+ Non-Toxic DIY Beauty Replacements with Essential Oils.” I use essential oils in a diffuser for room freshening but don’t really use them for anything else. This article, though, has quite a few ideas that I’m willing to try!
7. Updates
I recently updated my “About Me” page (hadn’t updated it in three years) and decided to add some non-traditional “about me” thoughts near the end of the page.
Thank you so much for stopping by to read this week’s post. Remember, you can find all of the previous Saturday Seven Inspiration posts here if you are in need of more ideas. And thank you so much for all of the words of encouragement you send my way via comments and emails. Please know that I read every one, and that I truly appreciate the time you take to provide feedback. Happy quilting, and have a wonderful week!

Always find at least one thing on your Saturday Post, usually many. I ‘d say the recipes and organizational tips are probably my favorites. Unfortunately, the One-Pot Beef Stroganoff link must be broken. Just takes me to all your Saturday Posts. Loved the Meal Prep Tips too!
