Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 348: Lifestyle & More for Quilters which is a fun assortment of inspiring ideas I’ve found from around the internet during the week. I hope you’ll enjoy my round-up and find useful ideas for your weekend and the week ahead.
It’s definitely going to be a sewing Saturday for me–I have some works in progress I can’t wait to get going on again, so I plan to spend most of the day today with my machine. I hope you get to sew today, too!

Saturday Seven 348: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
I really loved the ideas in “Forcing Yourself to Do a Task vs. Letting Yourself Off the Hook.” And here is a great list of Journal Prompts for Personal Growth.
2. Recipes to Try
I found a bunch of fun and easy summer recipes on this roundup post from What’s Gaby Cooking. These Strawberry Shortcake Cookies look delicious (the recipe is from a personal friend of mine–she’s been blogging again, and her lifestyle, home, and quilting content is fabulous)! And…it might be dangerous, but I’m going to try these Texas Sheet Cake Cookies!
3. Quilt + Sew
I’m working on binding my finished Moda Blockheads 5 quilt this weekend AND setting together my Scrappy Half-Square Triangle quilt. I’ll be sharing all of the details for those projects soon. Also pre-orders are still open for the Moda Boxed kit for my Dresdens pattern and for my kit for my Harbor pattern. Find those kit pre-orders here. (I’ll also be doing a sew along with Harbor in February when the fabric arrives in shops).
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
I did so much listening this week while I finished up my Moda Blockheads 5 quilt! I loved this episode on Deep Habits from Cal Newport this week. And I also enjoyed the episode from him on Rethinking Discipline.
5. Home + Organizing
Also, I just ordered this new planner (2024/2025). I’ve tried this brand before they had a more decorative option–I’ll let you know how I like it–I do love that it will fit in my purse.
