Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 345: Lifestyle & More for Quilters. Yesterday I was able to spend a couple of hours doing a photo shoot of our new fabrics and quilts with my friend and professional photographer, Marissa. I can hardly wait to share the photos with you very soon! This weekend, though, I have some sewing and home chores on my to-do list.
If you’re new here, my Saturday posts are a fun roundup of things I’ve found from around the internet earlier in the week. Keep reading for this week’s selection of inspiring things for quilters and other creatives!

Saturday Seven 345: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
Find great ideas for an amazing day and tips for habit stacking here. And one of my favorite self-care hacks is the ideas shared in “The Power of Tracking Your Wins.”
2. Recipes to Try
I love this BLT Chopped Salad–it’s a go-to for summer and especially good with garden tomatoes (thanks, Val)! (Homemade Ranch dressing is also a good mix with this)! I’m testing this Summer Steak with Corn and Tomatoes next week (but I already know it will be good as I love all of the Smitten Kitchen recipes). I’m also going to try this Orea Andes Mint Ice Cream for dessert at the same gathering.
3. Quilt + Sew
The Star of Wonder Sew Along has begun. Watch for my progress coming soon and grab the first free pattern PDF here. Also, last Sunday was National Log Cabin Day–my friend Lissa shared this fun post all about Log Cabin quilts (including one of mine).
4. Book + Podcast Recommendations
I started two books this week and am loving both! First is The Opt-Out Family: How to Give Your Children What Technology Can’t (also good for grandparents or anyone who wants to minimize the negative aspects of technology use). I’m also enjoying Buy Back Your Time: Get Unstuck, Reclaim Your Freedom, and Build Your Empire.
5. Mid-Year Refresh
I’m still planning on posting about my recent Mid-Year Review, but in the meantime, if you’re looking for some specific guidance to conduct your own Mid-Year Refresh and Reflection on your goals, then you’ll love this episode of Best Laid Plans. Also, find a great list of July Home Tasks on a free printable here. Finally–I loved this list of hacks to help you declutter on a regular basis!
6. Summer Gathering Inspiration
We had a quiet Fourth of July celebration at our home but are having a larger family get-together next week. If you have any type of gathering planned for summer, you’ll love the ideas my friend Jodi shared from a recent shower she hosted. Be prepared for inspiration galore!
7. Recently on the Blog
