Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 326: Lifestyle & More for Quilters. On my Saturday posts I share helpful inspiration from around the internet in categories of self-care, recipes, quilting, sewing, book and podcast recommendations, organizing and productivity, and more. You will also find links to the posts from earlier in the week.
I’m super excited to get in my sewing room today because it’s absolutely clean! I spent most of last Saturday doing a deep-clean and now I just can’t wait to get in there and sew! We have beautiful weather this weekend as well, so at least one walk is in the plans, too!
Saturday Seven 326: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
Here are ideas for bedtime routines if you have trouble getting to sleep each night. (I take care of my skin, write in my gratitude journal each evening and then read for at least 30 minutes). And I loved this post on How to Take a Day Off–it got me thinking, and I immediately made a list of little things I’d like to do when I get a half or full day to myself.
2. Recipes
I’m definitely going to try this Healthy Air Fryer Baked Parmesan Crusted Chicken this week. I might also have to try this Shrimp and Corn Chowder soon. And these Crispy Hot Honey Sheel Pan Quesadillas look amazing, too! (Can you tell I love shrimp?) And finally, this Tortellini Caesar Salad also looks delicious.
3. Quilt + Sew
First, the Heart of the Home Sew Along begins next week on February 29th! I can’t wait to start my new project with this sew along. Week one is going to be all about gathering fabrics, so I will wait until week two to share a post for this. Find details on this from the All People Quilt website here. You can also find specific information on downloading the EQ8 file for the quilt along here.
And I found this free darling Patchwork Travel Drawstring Bag pattern here…I’m definitely going to make a few!
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
I just finished Feel-Good Productivity: How to Do More of What Matters the other night and it was so very good. It not only gives a ton of practical tips and helps but also really helped adjust my mindset on productivity. I immediately began reading Peak Mind and am enjoying that book, too. Cal Newport’s recent podcast on Confronting Your Phone is one you won’t want to miss. Again…even if you disagree with all of his thoughts, you’ll find lots of helpful ideas and frameworks to evaluate your own time with your phone.
5. Favorite Recent Finds
I’m so glad I bought this picture frame on the recommendation of another blogger. Everyone who sees it in my home comments on how pretty it is. I’m also glad I tried this two-pack set of notebooks. They’re great for organizing, and I’m getting ready to order a couple more sets since they look so pretty in my office. Finally, I’m pretty particular about my pens and absolutely love this set of 5 Gel Pens (again saw them on a blog).
6. Organization + Productivity
I might have previously shared this, but this article on The Joys of Getting Organized is such a good one! And this post with 8 Easy Ways to Simplify Your Home Today is a good one! Finally, this article on Finding Your Monday Morning Magic is also full of terrific ideas (my favorite is to start on Friday…).

I agree, that is a great photo of you! I’m looking forward to seeing your new fabric. I am having a problem with the patchwork drawstring bag pattern link. It’s such a cute idea. Thanks for any help with this!
