Hello, friends! Thanks so much for stopping by for the Saturday Seven 314: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post. I’m hoping to get the majority of my decorating finished up this weekend–and also work on some more small projects! But I’m also trying to be realistic and keep a slower pace. It really is my goal this season to slow down as much as possible and enjoy the journey! I hope you’ll enjoy this week’s round-up of inspiration and that your weekend and the week ahead are joyful and restful! (Please note that some of the links in this post are affiliate links which means I make a small commission if you purchase; however, this does not affect the price you pay for the item).

1. Self-Care
I also loved this piece on Work-Life Balance. For those looking to simply the holidays, “Creating a Slower Holiday Season” is an excellent article. And finally, I loved this article on “10 Things to Remove from the Holidays to Enjoy them More.”
2. Recipes to Try
This Creamy Cranberry Jalapeno Dip is on my list of new recipes to try for our holiday get-together. And these Peanut Butter Blossom Bars remind me of some cookies my grandmother used to make when I was younger. Also, how about these Half-n-Half Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies!
3. Quilt + Sew
If you’re sewing for the holidays, you’ll find some of my go-to gift ideas in this post. And if you’re looking for more gift ideas, Fat Quarter Shop recently shared this fun roundup of 21 DIY Holiday Gifts. Also, how cute are these Quilted Santa Hats Melissa just shared?!
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
I loved this episode from the Happier Podcast with a fun list of ideas for getting ready for the holidays. I really enjoyed Lazy or Disorganized, too. And I ended up feeling much better about myself after listening! And my hard copy of Calm Christmas and a Happy New Year is arriving Monday! I can’t wait to do the reflection exercises at the back of the book after reading it first on my Kindle.

6. Earlybird Registration for A Quilting Life Academy
My first session of A Quilting Life Academy Quilting for Beginners and Beyond: Creating with Confidence will be starting in late January 2024. I have a limited early-bird pricing option available now for the next five days. I’m super excited about the course–it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time:) In February I’ll also be sharing an organizing course for quilters, but for now registration is only open for the quilting course.
