Hello and happy Thursday! Today I’m excited to share the final two quilts I’ve pieced with our new Creekside fabric collection! First up is Pinwheel Posies! There is just something fun about a pinwheel set on point, and I really love them set inside this flower block!
I had fun picking out fabric pairs in the same color way for my blocks, but you
could also use more contrast between your outer and inner sections. Simple sashing and big blocks make this a fast-to-finish quilt!
Pinwheel Posies finishes at 65 ½″ x 85 ½″ and uses 12 fat quarters and 12 fat eighths.
My quilter Marion used this fun cross hatch pantograph (Cross Hatch Legacy) on the quilt which really adds an extra dimension to it…I was super excited when I saw it!
And…my final Creekside quilt to share today is Starry Night! This fun quilt finishes at 75 ½″ x 75 ½″ and uses a fat eighth bundle. (Or just 16 fat eighths for blocks and a charm pack or scraps for the nine patch sashing posts).
You can make the blocks from a single fabric or mix and match as I did…use a small amount of contrast, or make the contrast more bold!
My friend Marion did the long arm quilting on this one and used the Razorshell Urban pattern on this one! I think it looks really different and fun…and again, it adds a lot of movement in the sashing areas.
I actually used a Desert Bloom fabric for the backing on this one…you can see how well the reds in Creekside work with the reds in Desert Bloom.
PDF Patterns (Pinwheel Posies and Starry Night) are available now in my Etsy shop at an introductory price ($7.95 through the weekend) with paper patterns shipping in one to
two weeks.
I also have a paper pattern special: get all five new patterns for $33 or pick your favorite three for $20.
I’ll be back tomorrow with more close ups of the fabrics!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Beautiful quilts Sherri! I love the crosshatch quilting and the great little 9 patch corner-stones in the sashing. I love the stars too: they are different than most. Can't wait to get the close-ups of the fabric!! hugs, H

Sherri, these are both such pretty quilts. I love the pinwheel inside the posey. I'd say it was my favorite until I looks at Starry Night. HA! Great job ~smile~
