Slowly but surely I’ve been making a little progress over here! On the 4th of July I spent some of my morning adding another row to my Blogger Girls Block of the Month quilt. I even have almost all of the other setting pieces sewn, so this one should go pretty fast…
as soon as my extra background fabric arrives in the mail. Note to self: cut out the entire project before using what you think is “extra” on something else. Luckily I was only short ⅛ yard, and I was able to round up a half yard on-line…whew!
More Christmas Scrappy Trip Along Bee blocks arrived too…I’m up to 9…yay!
And I finished up a zig zag quilt top for a friend using this tutorial. It worked out really well! (Sorry about the wrinkles).
I even used the left-over fabrics to create a fun scrappy back!
And…I got some fabric goodness in the mail on Friday! On the left is a bundle of Anna Maria’s Hand Drawn Garden on top of a bundle of Amy Butler’s Belle reprint (ordered from Amanda). And I couldn’t resist picking up some Moda 30’s Playtime as well. New fabrics always equal progress, right?!
Thanks so much to everyone who is joining in the 10 Things for Summer-along either with your comments or your posts. The posts have been especially fun to read–I’m having fun visiting all the blogs. Your ideas are making me think my list should have about 25 things on it! There is still plenty of time to write a post and link up for the main giveaway (and still time to comment for the additional giveaway)!
Also, don’t forget about getting your Christmas in July projects ready to share for the round-up on the 20th! How about a little sewing for Christmas this weekend?
Thanks so much for stopping by!
PS Pattern covers finally arrived on Friday, so all paper pattern orders have been packed and will ship out on Monday!

I have a gorgeous bunch of blue and white yardage aching for a quilt. Since I've had it for 2 years it'll wait a bit longer. Looks like you have new pretties to play with. Enjoy.
