Wow…I’ve been busy with family things…track meets, recognition dinners, and graduation activities (my younger daughter graduates from high school next week, and my younger son graduates from 8th grade tonight). But I’ve been sewing, too–fun things–it’s just that I can’t share many of them…yet.
I have taken some time to go through my stash and play with color. I have pieces from a lot of designers–Amy Butler, Heather Bailey, Sandi Henderson, Paula Prass, and Anne Sutton here; I’ve used the lines Midwest Modern, Daisy Chain, Freshcut, PopGarden, Ginger Blossom, Farmer’s Market, Flights of Fancy, and Angel Houses along with a Moda Bella solid and a Michael Miller polka dot.
Looking at my blocks, I realized rather quickly which colors I need to get in my stash–and, I’m really in need of reds! Well, actually I have lots of reds–Christmas reds and my French General reds–but not the reds that will work in this quilt!
Oh, and I finally made myself one of these little bags–I’ve made a lot since last fall and given them all away, but I’m going to keep this one! I hope to be able to show some of the other things I’m working on…soon!

Very busy time of year for so many! Making memories!
Cute little bag – I don’t do bags – very bagophobic. LOL
Sweet new project!

Well no wonder!. . . One graduation can overtake all your free time. . . but two?!? Wow! I hope you have wonderful memories of these (now hectic) times. . . They go by so fast!
Love your little bag!. . . I really need to try making one of those! xo, Bren

Wow, busy! My son is also an 8th grader, my daughter in HS not quite a graduate yet. But even with your 2 graduations you are not letting anything slow you down. I just love that bag. Great to pack notions in for a class or retreat!

I love all your nine-patches, especially with the solid centers. Great combination of fabrics and colors. Are you going to put them into the same quilt top? I have always wanted to make one of those boxy bags.

Love all of your 9 patches! So colorful. That bag is SOOO CUTE! Is there a pattern for that somewhere?

I need reds in my stash, too. I buy them, but because I love them so much, they get used quickly. Maybe we should go ‘red’ shopping together haha.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with those pretty squares.

Doesn’t it make you feel really good when you can use some of your fabric in your stash. Love the bag and will be checking in on the rest.

On my way to iowa. Saw your post. I liked everything so much I learned how to post from my blackberry!! Love the fabrics in the 9 patches…love the bag in wonderland fab. I have made that bag…
Trisha says
Cute bag! I can’t imagine having a stash like yours to play in. Most of my stash is in big rubbermaid totes hidden away in the closet and I like to pretend it doesn’t exist so I don’t feel so guilty that I don’t love it anymore. Wow, talk about a run on sentence!

Love your fabric combinations. And I didn’t realize you had given me a one of your darling bags before you had one for yourself. I keep mine right on my book case and I think of you everytime I look at it. Thank you again!

I really really like the 9 patch blocks. I have the little bag pattern that you use charms to make it, but I have a quilter’s block on the instructions. I will have to play with it and see if I can figure out where that zipper goes….

I love my little bag. I have it stuffed. I was going to use it as a camera case but I use it as a take along bag in my big bag I drag everywhere. And you can’t go wrong with 9 patch blocks. I need to cut some up for leaders and enders projects.

Hi Sherri,
always fun to see what you're playing with next {but I'm sure by the time I catched up with all entries I found at least 5 more projects!}
Love that little bag! {mumblemumble…I HAVE to learn to sew in zippers…mumblemumble…;o)}
