Hello there! You might remember that one of my last projects from 2016 was this fun pineapple mini quilt I made to hang in my sewing room. I had a lot of fun making this fun block and mini but just couldn’t seem to put my yellow and green strips back into their bins…
I knew what that meant…that I needed to make a pineapple quilt one of these
days…but the question was when…and then I got an idea…enlist the help of my Gridster Bee friends to make some of the blocks! That would give me 11 of the 18 blocks I need, and by just making 7 additional blocks I’ll have enough for a quilt!
So since February is my month to receive blocks from the others, I sent out the request and have already received 6 fun blocks!
You can download Jackie’s free pineapple block and quilt instructions here. And you can also see Jackie’s Instagram tutorial for making the blocks here.
Happy Monday…and thanks so much for stopping by!

What a great looking block. Your quilting is the perfect pattern to mimic the texture of a pineapple. Thank you for providing the link!

What a fun idea – make your load a little lighter, work with your friends who are glad to help and will be proud to see their block in your finished quilt, and it is a fabulous pattern. I can hardly wait to see it complete. Maybe some day I'll have some friends. That can help me, too – HAHAHA. Seriously, we need to start a quilting bee group. That sounds like fun for all. ~smile~

What a great idea to get your quilt underway! And your bins of green and yellow scraps won't take as big of a hit. 🙂 I know it will turn out fabulous.
