Patchwork Quilt Along

Hello! Today is  Fat Quarter Shop Patchwork Quilt Along day, and I’m sharing this month’s blocks, the “Around the Corner” block design.

This month’s design features a checkerboard design with half-square triangle

units at the corners. I ended up using some strip piecing to speed things up instead of sewing the block completely from squares.

This month I also used two different low-volume backgrounds instead of one. I continued making three red and three blue blocks.

It’s so fun to see the blocks all together! I can’t believe there are already 36 blocks!
