Things have started to take on the rhythm of summer here…the temperatures are going up quickly, and the calendar is less full with “have to’s.” And while I’m still trying to catch up from the quilt market whirlwind in April and May, I’m also starting to finish up some projects.
I pieced this mini “Country Fair” quilt right after I saw Joanna make hers (pattern available from Fig Tree & Company). The other day I had to take something to be quilted for an upcoming magazine project and decided to take this along as well.
Natalia did so many fun things with the quilting on this! It was sure fun to pick it up and see what she had come up with.
I thought that making the mini would keep me from needing to make the full-size version again…but instead I really want to make that again now, too. So many quilts…
On a couple of other notes:
- My mini summer sampler series will start next Friday– one block every other Friday with setting instructions at the end. By the end of the summer you’ll have a fun mini quilt with 6 blocks.
- Beginning June first the Schnibbles will be back…kind of…Michele of Island Life Quilts will be co-hosting. We’ll use Schnibbles, other small quilts, and even some other projects each month with a sew along and parade.
Finally…I realized I never picked a winner from the Pattern Jam fat quarter giveaway…congrats to OhioLori…I’ve sent you an email!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Don't know what will be more fun – another Schnibbles or your 6" blocks but I already now that Michele will be a great co-host and that I love your Fig Tree mini:-) Have a wonderful weekend yourself!

I love that pattern too, very much!! I love the fabrics you chose for it, and the quilting is just right too!! And I have to tell you, that after I found out that you teach English, I'm a bit more careful when I write to you! 😀 Like up above: I can never remember the spelling for choose and chose. Is "chose" the right spelling for the past tense? "Teacher, teacher, Help me!!" 😉 Hope you're having a good weekend! Hugs, H

I couldn't resist the full size version of this quilt! Don't know if I will have time to play along with mini's but I sure love following everyone else.

I guess I'm confused… what is considered a mini quilt?

Fun to see you are sliding into summer with some ideas about how to tame the endless supply of days without grading–so blissful!! I love your mini and it will be fun to see your summer projects. Are you headed this way at all?
