Hello and happy Friday! I hope your week went well and that you are ready for a wonderful weekend! I cleaned up my sewing room the other day and am excited to get some sewing accomplished this weekend–I have big plans, anyway! Today I’m sharing the Mystery Block of the Month October 2018 blocks. I’m really happy with how all three of my blocks turned out this month. This is a fun block that I hope you’ll enjoy making, too.
This month’s block is kind of a mix–you’ll have some sections of the block that are simple squares, some half-square triangles to make, and four quarter-square triangles to sew. I have tutorials on the blog for making the half-square triangles and the quarter-square triangles, so be sure to check the links near the end of the post if you are looking for tips on those topics.
My Christmas version blocks are always so much fun to piece. I was worried that this month’s block might be a little busy, but in the end I really like it. And the sashing between the blocks will “mellow” this combination of fabrics a bit, I think.
I sure love the small blocks, too, though. It’s been a lot of fun to mix in our Walkabout fabrics along with the Clover Hollow prints. They just combine so beautifully.

One More Thing…
I made a change this morning that will affect newsletter subscribers. When I switched blogging platforms last April, everyone who had subscribed by email stopped receiving post notifications. Since then I’ve been trying to rebuild that list and was sending out a weekly newsletter with links to all of the weekly posts. I’ve decided to try sending the email newsletter on days when there is a new post to make it easier for everyone to keep up. So you’ll only receive an email if I’ve posted in the past 24 hours. And I only do additional emails once a month if there is something with the fabric or patterns I need to share. Hopefully, this will make it easier for everyone who wants to keep up on a daily basis. I always welcome your feedback–please don’t hesitate to email with questions–or leave a message in your comment, and I’ll answer it there!
I’ll be back tomorrow with this week’s Saturday Seven. Happy Quilting, and thanks so much for stopping by!

Went back to reprint Feburay’s block instructions since I missed that month. Unfortunately the link is not working. Could you either repair the link or email me the instructions. Thank you so much. Love your choices of blocks.

Thank you so much for maintaining a post with all the blocks on your website. I have been dutifully saving the block instructions. My sister unexpectedly passed away in July, and things were in an uproar. I really appreciate being able to collect the blocks I would have otherwise missed.
