Hello and happy Friday! Last weekend I was able to make 22 more string blocks for my on-going scrappy string quilt! And it really didn’t take that long! In fact, If I had prepared just a bit more fabric before I started sewing I could have made a lot more!
I’m pretty excited to get some more fabrics ready to go and start making some
You can see my method for making string quilt blocks in this tutorial. I also wrote another post just last winter with the tips I used this weekend that made the blocks go together so quickly. I’m happy to say it worked, and I’ll be preparing another set as quick as I can so I can sit down and sew some more. You can find the post with my additional tips here.
I’m setting my small blocks together into groups of four…so I can make 5 more blocks with what I sewed this weekend!
And I’m rotating the blocks in each set of four as shown above…it’s going to be kind of a wild quilt!
But a happy quilt for sure! Have a wonderful weekend–I’ll be back tomorrow for the tenth edition of the Saturday Seven! Thanks so much for stopping by!
