Happy Tuesday! I’m back with more red and green quilt blocks…yesterday I finished up the two blocks from month nine; there is just one month to go, and then I can start putting them together. I’m more than a little bit giddy thinking I’m finally going to have a red and green quilt for Christmas this year–it’s been on my to-do list for several years!
This month’s blocks were a lot of fun. They were both fairly easy constructions,
but one definitely had more pieces than the other! I love that I was able to incorporate some of the other backgrounds and green fabrics from previous months, it just makes it all the more fun to have such a scrappy quilt!
The peppermint block was fun…lots of pieces, but the result was so cute it was definitely worth the extra time it took!
There was also a beautiful star to make this month…simple and elegant.
It’s almost as fun to finish up each month’s blocks as it is to take the monthly photo of all of them together!
But my 21 blocks will have to stay in a pile while I not so patiently wait for the final month’s package to arrive. I’m not sure if there will be more blocks or just finishing instructions, but I’m excited to get this one finished in time for Christmas!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Very nice work, Sherri. I can see why you are excited to get it finished. I also like it when you can use scraps in another block. It makes it tie in so beautifully.

Your blocks are so pretty and I really like them as red is my favorite color. Is there going to be a pattern?

There have to be more blocks! How can you make a quilt out of 21? Seven blocks by 3? I can't work out any possible combination. Anyway, I LOVE the colors. The celery green with the reds is perfect. Makes it look fresh and not overly Christmas-y, so you can leave it out all winter. Good work.

I am always so late in picking up my blocks from the post office and so I love that you finish them before I have even picked them up! Makes me more excited to get them and get them made,

I'm new to your blog and just saw these cute blocks! Can you tell me is there a pattern for these or was it a quilt-a-long? Very cute and I'd like to find out more. Thank you!
