Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I’ve been making more progress on my market sewing…I almost have a third quilt finished, and the blocks are ready to sew for the fourth quilt. But I’ve been doing a few other
projects as well including trying to stay caught up with the Splendid Sampler
quilt along. Corey Yoder designed the most recent block, and I absolutely love it! I used just four fabrics for my star points, but if you look closely at Corey’s block you’ll see that she actually used eight different fabrics. I love this block in
a frame!
Now this next part of the post is not really quilt-related at all…just a fun find from Amazon I wanted to share. I really love vintage Pyrex…but it’s really hard to find here in southern Nevada. So when I saw these cute bowls inspired by the vintage Pyrex I had to get them– Vintage Charm Rise n Shine 6 Piece Mixing Bowl Set, Teal
. They even come packaged in a cute round box that reminds me of the old fashioned hat boxes!
They aren’t authentic vintage Pyrex, but they sure are fun…and now maybe I can stop dreaming of the real stuff!
Hope your week is off to a good start…thanks so much for stopping by!
PS Thanks to so many of you who signed up for the newsletter…I’m looking forward to getting that going!

Love your block! I still need to make mine (and a few others…) but since it's a holiday today here and tomorrow I don't need to work I have time to play catch up:-) Can't wait for your newsletter and perhaps a few little sneaks of your new collection.

That's a whole lot of quilting Sherri! Corey's new block is really neat. A nice chance to use fabric scraps from the other blocks too.
As a fellow vintage Pyrex enthusiast, I love the bowl set you shared and have immediately thought up a few other people who will too. Thanks Sherri! Wouldn't it be wonderful if they started making more reproduction Pyrex? I'd especially love to see the Cinderella bowl sets come out again. They are so expensive now.

I would love to order a set too.
