Happy Wednesday! I thought I’d start off today’s post by sharing the three Moda bundles I couldn’t live without from Sample Spree. Clockwise from left are Simply Style by V & Co., Potluck by Sandy Klop, and Sunnyside by Kate Spain! My Moda booth post is almost finished, and I’ll share it tomorrow.
One of the booths I visited while at market was the Craftsy booth. I’ve enjoyed writing for Craftsy for the past few months and have also been taking some Craftsy classes. The lectures from QuiltCon are also free on the Craftsy site. To watch the QuiltCon lectures for free you’ll just need to register for an account (You can do that here).
I’m also currently taking Camille Roskelley’s Pre-Cut Piecing Made Simple and have also signed up for Sara Fielke’s Scrap Quilting: Big Techniques from Small Scraps.
What I like about the Craftsy classes is that they are available to you whenever and forever. You can watch just a segment or sit down and watch the whole class. Then if you want to review something or watch it again, you can. It’s so easy, and it’s like having a personal instructor “on call!”
The classes also come with pattern downloads. I’m really looking forward to playing with these two classes this summer.
And now for my first post-market giveaway! One of my favorite designers in the quilting world is Heather Mulder Peterson. I always love her fresh ideas and inspirations for fabrics. At this market she debuted her newest book, Angles with Ease and a ruler to go along with it! When I purchased my copy and ruler at Sample Spree she gave me an extra set to give away to one of my readers! I didn’t get any pictures of Heather’s booth…but you can see the quilts in this book on Heather’s blog here and here.
To enter the giveaway, simply let me know what your quilting goals are for this summer! I’ll keep the giveaway open through Friday evening!
Thanks so much for stopping by…and I’ll be back tomorrow with the Moda booths!

I'm completely in love with Kate Spain's fabrics.
My goals for this summer are to run my first quilt-along(!), and actually enter a few of the challenges that are floating around – the Modern Mini Quilt Challenge being one of them.

I recently swapped my bedroom with my sewing room so one of my goals this summer is to get that organized and try to finish up some UFO's and some projects that I've been meaning to get to for a long time! I'd love to win your giveaway!!

I am working on finishing my first ever Mystery Quilt that our Quilt guild here in Napanee Ontario Canada did. I am also working on Tula Pinks 100 City Sampler. I have about 16 squares done so far (yeah!!) I am also starting a quilt for my Nephew and his wife for their wedding. I made them the quilt "On Point" which was a block of the month…. but somehow after I borrowed it to put in our local Quilt Show… it got lost… so I am making them Tonga Rhapsody as a replacement. Lot of quilting to be done….Thanks for the chance of the give-away 🙂

My quilting goal for this summer is to practice my free motion quilting so I can quilt more of my own quilts instead of spending more money to have someone else quilt them. Thanks for the chance to win !

I have a UFO that I just found the perfect binding for…after 6 years! It needs to get finished this summer!

I too love Heathers patterns & her quilts. She does some amazing things & she knits too. I would really love to have her new book & new ruler. I'm off to the Craft & Quilt show here in Perth Western Australia today hoping to buy some patterns, fabrics, notions & goodies. I wonder if I'll find Heathers book & ruler here? If I do I would love to have a go at Spin Cycle in the same fabrics Heather has used. That's my goal for Winter here in Perth.

I have a number of quilts in the ready to be quilted mode. So, my summer plans are to sandwich and learn to quilt by machine so can finish some of these. Right now I'm tackling the first one. With stage 4 terminal cancer, if God wills it to be is my prayer. Thanks for the chance.

Thanks for doing such a wonderful give-away. I'm taking Camille's class on Craftsy and also Angela Walter's Free Motion Quilting with Feathers. I took Angela's class on a free trial and liked it so much that I bought it when the trial was over. I' m currently working on a Nancy Drew quilt for my daughter. Can't wait to have some time to sew! Would love to make something for my Mom or maybe my son's girlfriend. Again, thanks for doing the giveaway and for writing about Quilt Market!

I am a teacher, so summer is when I (hopefully) get more quilting time in!!! I am also enrolled in Camille's Craftsy class and have not yet really started it…so that is at the top of my list, plus I am working on a block of the month from Anne at Bunny Hill Designs….and I just received my copy of YOUR book–so lots on my summer agenda!!! Whoo hoo!!! I am hoping to really spend some good time at my sewing machine. 🙂

Much of my summer will be devoted to moving my parents from NJ to CT.
I am so excited to finally be able to have my mom living only a 5 minute drive from my home. After the dust settles, I'd would love to teach my mom how to quilt!
Thanks for the giveaway. I love reading your blog and drool over your creations!
