Block 10 Details

I love a good star block with a patchwork center (see my Patchwork Stars pattern here). And so, I loved making both of this week’s blocks. I followed the pattern instructions exactly for the 12″ finished block. But for my 6″ finished block I decided to use simple strip piecing so I wouldn’t have to sew with so many tiny little squares. It was super easy to put together, and I love the look of the white squares inside my smaller block.

This is also the first set of blocks where I’ve used our new Laguna Sunrise fabrics. They are going to play so well together with my Strawberry Lemonade blocks (see the photo above with all of my Round 2 small blocks to see how this week’s Laguna Sunrise block just blends right in).
