Happy Monday! Today is Minis and More day for the December projects. We had a few project options for December since we knew it was going to be a busy month. You can see last month’s parade and read about the project options here. At the end of today’s parade is a new mini quilt I’ve designed for our January project. I’m pretty excited about it and hope you will love it, too!
Jodi begins our parade with her version of the Abundantly Blessed pattern. I love how she made a table/bed runner version with hers!
Next is Karen’s version of the Christmas Baubles quilt. I definitely need to make this one before next Christmas. It would make a terrific gift!
Cindy also made the Christmas Baubles quilt…I love her version, too! As you can see, there are a lot of fun options for this great free pattern!
Be sure to stop by Michele’s blog, Island Life Quilts, to see some other projects from these patterns! Thanks so much to everyone who was able to participate during such a busy time!
Hopefully January will be a bit slower than December. We’ve picked a fast and fun project for this month. This is actually a mini I’d been meaning to make and write up since I released my big version of the Hope Chest quilt. I didn’t get time to make it until New Year’s Eve, but it was worth the wait.
This is a terrific mini quilt perfect for scraps (I used Bonnie & Camille scraps from several of their collections for my quilt). You can also use left-over charm squares, Layer Cake squares, or even Jelly Roll strips. Tip: starch your fabrics before cutting to make it easier to work with the smaller pieces.
The finished size is 17″ x 17″ which makes it perfect for a mini wall quilt, table topper, or pillow top. I love the fact that the entire mini quilt is just a little bit bigger than one of the blocks in the original quilt.
You can find the PDF on sale for just $3.50 in my Etsy shop through Friday, January 8th, 2016 with the code minihopechest. Paper patterns will be ready in 1-2 weeks.
I can’t wait to see all of the versions of this fun mini quilt!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
