Happy Monday! Recently I had to send a magazine quilt out for quilting and at the last minute decided to send along two mini quilts I just haven’t been able to get finished up. I usually try to quilt most of my mini quilts myself, but these two were sitting quite a while!
Kaitlyn did a cute all-over clam shell design on one and simple straight lines on
the other! I did get them bound as soon as they arrived home, so I’ll be able to hang them up in my sewing room this week!
The first one is from the Thimbleblossoms pattern Vintage Mini and was made using our Creekside fabrics. This mini quilt finishes at 14″ x 14″ and uses just one charm pack with some background and binding (the color looks a little off in the link, but it is the correct fabric and is true to color in the photo).
My other mini, the Moda Love quilt, is pieced with a mini charm pack of our Desert Bloom collection and finishes at 12″ x 12″. The pattern is a free one! You can access the link to the PDF for the pattern from my original post on this mini.
I used 3″ squares, folded in half diagonally and sewn into the binding to make little hangers for these…more ideas on finishing and hanging mini quilts can be found in this post.
So much fun to have them all finished up…sometimes a little finish is all you need!
Thanks so much for stopping by…hope your week is off to a great start!

Cute little minis! Like Camille I use clear pins for hanging mine but I like the ideas with the squares on the back.

Thanks for the hanging idea. I thought the color looked just fine. Those are two lovely minis!

I need to try a mini like these. I have made some embroidered mini wall hangings, but not just pieced items. Love them. I use corner triangles too. I find them easier than a mini sleeve and much easier to hang!
