Hello and happy Tuesday! I’ve been working on a few behind-the-scenes get-ready-for Quilt Market projects lately, but here and there I’ve found time to get started on my Christmas sewing…
I can hardly wait to start setting these blocks together…I’m making my
Hometown Layer Cake quilt pattern using the Sweetwater collection Holly’s Tree Farm, and I am in love with this quilt already! (Hometown patterns here in paper and PDF).
The great thing about this collection (I’m sewing with left-overs from another project) is that it’s been easy to combine with more recent Sweetwater Christmas collections like The Cookie Exchange.
I chose a Bonnie & Camille green dot from a while back for my sashing…can’t wait to see it! And…I have border, binding and backing ready to go for this one, too!
I was also able to get backing (grey leaves with red berries) and binding (stars on red) for my JollyBarJazz Christmas quilt I shared recently. Fabrics in the Merrily collection are going fast, but I found my backing here!
I’m hoping to get both of these quilts off to the quilter later this week…and then it’s time to start working on gift ideas…
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I can't wait to see the finished product! I love those fabrics you are using. Just look like TRUE red and green Christmas.

Both quilts will look great when they are finished! I have a F8 bundle from The Cookie Exchange and from Merrily and after seeing them in your picutres I wonder how they will look together. Mmmh, something to think about.

I love how you orientated the tree and car fabric so they are all the smell way. I would get at least 1 upside-down. Looks great
