Happy Thursday! I have a finish to share…and I’m so excited about it! Last year after I finished my Maple Sky mini quilt top I went back and forth about whether to make it into a mini or a pillow. Mini won at the time…but I knew I needed a pillow using this pattern.
And then I decided it would be really fun to mix block sizes just as I had in my
Maple Sky and Maple Sky mini quilts…and I love how it turned out! I used three different greens, three different plums, three different oranges, and three different reds for the 4-leaf blocks and then used a brown for the larger leaf. All of the stems are from an older Bunny Hill Designs collection.
Simple straight line quilting really seemed to work great with this pattern and enabled me to get it finished fast. All of the prints are Fig Tree except for the green print from The Front Porch, the large leaf (Moda, not sure which collection), the stems, and the pin dot sashing (also Moda).
For the backing I used two older Fig Tree prints and installed a zipper with a covering.
I love all three of these projects… my Maple Sky quilt, my Maple Sky Mini quilt, and and the fall pillow (blocks and sashing made using the Maple Sky Mini pattern)! Now I need to get back to finishing my pumpkin project!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
