Thanks so much for all of the support for the summer organizing series…looks like there are a lot of us that will be working on this over the next few weeks! I’ll be back tomorrow with day 3 and day 4 tasks.
Along with my summer organizing I’ve been beginning and finishing a few things…thus my post title “leaders and enders.” It’s always good to finish a year long project, and my Fat Quarter Shop 2013 Designer Mystery Block of the Month is ready for quilting! I have so many scraps left over from this project…I think some pillowcases might be in order…and I’d also like to make some place mats for the 4th with the left overs!
My Mother-in-Law has a birthday later this week, and it’s always so hard to shop for her; I decided a Kindle cover might be something she could use. I used the same Icase pattern I used for my iPad cover a couple of weeks ago…same design…just sized down for the smaller device.
Fabrics are from the Boho collection by Urban Chiks for Moda…hope she likes it!
I have a few more “Sew Together” bags on my list to make, too. I have some thank you’s to send…and I thought these would make great little gifts.
First up was a scrappy Bonnie & Camille version…it sure was hard to part with this one…
But it’s all finished up and on it’s way to a new home. I have three more of these to make in the next few days, too (more thank you’s). I’ll share when they are finished.
I started a new project, too. Actually I wasn’t planning on starting yet…just thought I’d make a test block or two…and got a little carried away. I do want to get all of the pieces cut out before I sew any more of the pieces together. I’ll be doing an entire post on this project soon.
Oh, and another start…mini Red Letter Day blocks…a new mini pattern by Camille…guess these will have to go on the list of “works in progress.”
Okay…back to organizing…I’m trying to stay a few days ahead of my list so I can add in extra tips and pointers I think of. Thanks so much for stopping by!

The FQS Designer Mystery BOM quilt is adorable.
I saw your latest two blocks on Instagram..they are so small!
I look forward to tomorrow's post for Summer Organiizing, I'm participating!

Where is the post about the summer organizing? I missed it and want to read the previous tasks. Love the idea.

Yep…I missed that post too! Sounds like something that I need also and will have to hunt it down. Love your Mystery BOM and I need to get started on sashing and getting them together. You seem to get so much sewing done and beautiful work done. Love them!!!

oh, the double wedding ring arcs have me intrigued! Are you using the paper piecing pattern from Freespirit? I made a DWR with ''Hello Betty'' (have to quilt it yet) using that pattern and I really want to make a scrappy one now!

That is the sweetest little bag with the zip top.
