Hello! I’m stopping in with a reminder today about the Village parade here on the blog next week…
Pictured is a lovely group of houses constructed by Michele at Island Life Quilts.
This is the perfect pattern for scraps…or choose a favorite collection as a starting place and then add in other favorites! (For extra ease of construction, the houses can be pieced from charm pack squares).
There is still time to join in! You can find the pattern by Carrie Nelson here (photo above is Carrie’s original quilt).
Make as many houses as you can over the next week and send your photos for the parade to me if your first name begins with A-K, or to Michele if your first name begins with the letter L-Z.
Our parade will be Monday afternoon, May 2nd…hope you’ll join us!

I've been eyeing these, even got the pattern. Fortunately, your 'parade of homes' comes just after my crazy patch in my schedule. Surely that will nudge me into getting started? Look forward to seeing what others are doing.

Those are such happy houses.

I've already finished my quilt top (yeah!) and of course I've changed the pattern. Perhaps I manage to quilt it before the parade. And on my way home from work I had an idea … mmh, need to see if I can make this;-)

LOVE these happy colorful houses. What is it about bright colors that makes me so happy? I wish I could hurry up and finish something so I can start a fun project like this!

Sherri, These are so cute!! They look so colorful and happy. I would love to get the pattern. How big is each house? About 5 inches? I would imagine I could make a zillion with all of my scraps!
I will check out the pattern now!
Thanks for the inspiration
