Happy Thursday! I hope you had a wonderful beginning to your week! I’ve had a busy start to my November with lots of pattern folding and stuffing (all orders either shipped Tuesday or today), and fun visits with friends and family. It’s starting to feel like the holidays here, especially with the cool weather we’ve had.
Coming home to happy mail after a busy day is always a treat…and this week I had a few fun surprises…
First my Farmhouse “9th Grade Quilt” from the Me & My Sister book Pre-Cut Primer arrived.
I had a lot of fun piecing this quilt for Barb and Mary last spring, and I’d almost forgotten about it coming back when I opened the box the other day.
I really love this quilt, and these fabrics are wonderful! This is going to be gifted at Christmas, though, because I have a couple of other Farmhouse quilts I want to make…and I can cross a gift off of my list!
My other happy mail came from Moda fabrics–a wonderful gift of a full yard of the special 40th anniversary selvage fabric. This fabric features the selvage from the first fabric collection of each current Moda designer. It’s fun to read through all of the fabric titles and designer names and remember each and every one.
It was pretty exciting to see we were included…right there on the bottom row! This fabric also brings back some wonderful memories as it was used for the tables at a special dinner we were able to attend while at market. Most of the people behind these companies were in attendance at the dinner along with many other of the amazing people who work at Moda, and it was a night that has prompted me to remember my gratitude for being able to be a quilter.
Just last evening I finished up the binding on my last deadline project for 2015, so it’s really on to Christmas sewing for me now!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I just LOVE the quilting on your '9th Grade' Quilt. Beautiful Quilt too – one lucky person on your Christmas list already. Special Moda Fabric too. We're still having such beautiful fall weather – it is hard to think of Christmas, but it will be here soon.

Nice to see your "9th Grade" Quilt and someone is very lucky. Wish I could say the same about my 2015 projects but still a few on my list….I did do a couple of tops that were not on the list so feel good about that. Nice job Sherri!
