Happy Fourth of July to all of my US friends…and happy weekend to everyone else!
Last year at just about this time I was finishing up my patriotic Nested Churn Dash…it’s one of my favorites!
It’s funny that even after making this king-sized quilt I still had plenty of scraps in the red, white and blue color way. (This quilt was made with all Minick & Simpson fabrics).
So a month or so ago when I was invited to participate in a scrappy log cabin swap I jumped at the chance to join in! This time I’m using Minick & Simpson and anything else fun that coordinates!
We are making 20 ½″ blocks then cutting them in fourths–you keep one of the sections from each block and send the other three off for the swap…so fun! I absolutely can’t wait to see all the fabrics I’ll have in this scrappy quilt! I’ll definitely be sharing more about it as I start to put it together!
Have a wonderful weekend!

That sounds like a fun swap, I'd love to be in on it next time! Love your quilt, makes me want to make a nested churn dash in patriotics…beautiful!!

I love everything you make. Is there a pattern for the nested churn dash block? I'd love to make one.

Love your nested churn dash (it's such a fun pattern, isn't it?) and your log cabins. I think an oversized log cabin block would make a great baby quilt, too (need to remember that when I need a baby quilt next time). Have a wonderful weekend:-)
