Happy Fourth of July to all of my US friends…and happy weekend to everyone else!
Last year at just about this time I was finishing up my patriotic Nested Churn Dash…it’s one of my favorites!
It’s funny that even after making this king-sized quilt I still had plenty of scraps in the red, white and blue color way. (This quilt was made with all Minick & Simpson fabrics).
So a month or so ago when I was invited to participate in a scrappy log cabin swap I jumped at the chance to join in! This time I’m using Minick & Simpson and anything else fun that coordinates!
We are making 20 ยฝ″ blocks then cutting them in fourths–you keep one of the sections from each block and send the other three off for the swap…so fun! I absolutely can’t wait to see all the fabrics I’ll have in this scrappy quilt! I’ll definitely be sharing more about it as I start to put it together!
Have a wonderful weekend!

I love everything you make. Is there a pattern for the nested churn dash block? I'd love to make one.

Love your nested churn dash (it's such a fun pattern, isn't it?) and your log cabins. I think an oversized log cabin block would make a great baby quilt, too (need to remember that when I need a baby quilt next time). Have a wonderful weekend:-)
