Hello! The other day I mentioned I had done just a little bit of shopping while I was visiting at Hollyhill Quilt Shoppe. Today I’ll share what I purchased along with a sneak peek of a new quilt book that is another one of those must-have books!
I
had to get a couple of these fun Grunge basics prints by Basic Grey for
Moda.
The green and the aqua will match up so well with scrappy
projects using our Creekside fabric!
And then I picked up a Layer Cake of Sunday Supper by Sweetwater for Moda. This is one of those collections I’ve been thinking about for awhile, and when I saw it in person I knew I’d better get it. I’m pretty sure I have a good idea of what I’m going to do with this fabric. The navy print from the collection will be for the binding. And then I picked up a fat quarter of the text print from the new Authentic collection also by Sweetwater.
I’m always looking for Christmas backgrounds and text prints…you’ll be seeing these in a new project very, very soon!
And since this plaid flannel was on sale, I picked up enough for a backing for a quilt I’m making my oldest son for Christmas; I also got a flannel fabric for binding for the same quilt.
I received my advance copies of a wonderful new book (my row is the top row on the front cover above). Moda All-Stars – All in a Row Again: 23 Row-by-Row Quilt Designs is a delightful compilation book with blocks/rows in the following categories: Flowers and Trees, Critters and Creatures, Buildings and Houses, and Classic Patchwork. Twenty-three different designs are included along with fun tidbits and helps from each of the designers. The book will be available October 3rd at the link above (or I have a few copies for pre-order in my Etsy shop that will also ship on October 3rd).
All in all, I’d say I picked up some fun fabrics that I can’t wait to sew with. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love the Grunge fabrics aoyu purchased I'm a bit Grunge obsessed at the moment. Do you know which names they have? Sadly Moda only put the common Grunge number #30150 on the selvage nothing more and if you wanna find a certian Grunge number you need the name. Don't know why they do this.
Hope the new Moda book will be available in Germany soon too amazon.de tells me something about 2018? Perhaps it's a typo on their part and I can buy it soon.

Love the Grunge! What is the name of the Christmas Text fabric? I've been looking for something like that. Looks like a fun shopping trip!

I'm glad you had a fun trip to Oregon (my beautiful home state, although I recently moved to Washington state). I'm interested in what you will make with your purchases!

What beautiful purchases! Love the grunge colors you showed. I've started to delve into some for a few projects, and love how they look. I keep eyeing the All In A Row Again quilt book too. So many beautiful designs in there. Love the new cover that was used – and how special that your row is on it.
