Hello and Happy Tuesday! This is my “Favorites” post that I meant to publish last Friday…except that I didn’t get it written until now. First up is a favorite fabric combination I can’t wait to play with. Kate mentioned on her blog that her new collection, Paradiso (coming this spring) mixes well with her Horizon line (just out). Since I have scraps from both collections I’m really looking forward to mixing and matching them!
The weekend was a blur of sewing and binding…so I thought I’d share two favorite notions that got a lot of use this weekend, too.
My favorite pincushion is on the left. It’s the one I use every day at my sewing machine. It’s just a good size, it holds a lot of pins, and since it has a little weight to it, it stays where you put it.
I also absolutely love my Clover 4080 Desk Needle Threader, Pink. I’ve used reading glasses when threading needles for a couple of years now, but it’s getting harder and harder to thread those tiny needles; the needle threader is a lifesaver when I’m in a hurry!
I also love the wood stand I purchased a couple of years ago that the needle threader rests on. I purchased it from Stencil N Stitch; however, when I just checked their website I couldn’t find it listed (maybe you could contact them by email or phone to see if they still have them). It really helps out because I’m able to stabilize the needle threader on the arm of a couch or chair while using it.
My favorite quilting magazine…I love the blend of modern and traditional that American Patchwork & Quilting brings in each issue. I can’t wait to have a few minutes to read the latest issue…I think it might get me in the mood for some Christmas sewing!
And finally…another soon to be favorite quilt…this is the second of my new patterns, and it just makes me happy to see the mix of prints and patterns in the design.
All of my market sewing is finished up for now, and after I bind the last two quilts I’ll be sharing my three new patterns. I’ll also be able to soon share the market sewing I did for three of my friends!
FYI…everything at the Rustic Rooster is 20% off through Sunday; just enter FALL14 in the coupon box.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just want you to know there are so many pop up ads on your blog, one on every photo, it makes in less enjoyable to read.
