Recently I got to play with one of my favorite new Moda collections, 30’s Playtime and sew up a fun and fast new pattern, the “Fat Quarter Fizz“ pattern which is a free pattern from Fat Quarter Shop.
Abby was able to do this fun all-over quilting design on my quilt which I just love!
I used one of my favorite prints…the cherries on red for the binding.
Although most of the prints I used were “medium” fabrics, the quilt will have a noticeable design if you use a good mix of lights and darks. Or you can just mix it all up like I did. The pattern is perfect for your favorite bundle or for mixing and matching left over fat quarters from a variety of bundles. And what is even better is that there are many different size options for this quilt!
There is also a YouTube video you can view for all of the “how to” details for this quilt. Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love your fabric choices on this quilt, so homey and old fashioned, and not following the dark-light thing can still work. LOVE IT so much!

I love your quilt and I love your blog but the ads are annoying sometimes, they cover up what I'm trying to look at.

This is so beautiful! Did you hand stitch the binding on the back? Did you quilt the top on your standard sewing machine? I'm just getting started on this journey….
