Hello and happy Monday! Today I’m excited to share a fast and fun row quilt I recently made for the American Patchwork & Quilting publication Quilts and More! This is another project for the Scrap Lab feature in the magazine which I really love working on; these projects are always a fun exercise in creativity!
by Heather Givans for Windham fabrics. As soon as I saw the fabric I knew I needed to show off the fun book prints in my project…and I immediately thought of a fun row quilt that is perfect for beginner quilters or for any quilter looking for a fun project to show off favorite fabrics. My quilter Kaitlyn did a fun all-over bubbles pantograph which really adds to the whimsical feel of the quilt!
There are some really fun prints in this collection along with some great neutrals and low-volumes, and I really love the other projects with the fabrics–Jeni’s pillow and the mini quilt made by the fabric designer, Heather!
I can hardly wait for my issue to arrive, because there are also some terrific projects on the cover…I definitely need to try the thread bin in the upper right hand corner…and the fall wall hanging is adorable!
The Fall 2017 edition of Quilts and More hits newsstands tomorrow, July 18th–be on the lookout for it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love the quilt you designed! I have some of the literacy fabrics on order. Want to use it in a quilt for our daughter who has always been a book nook person. Love the line and how it brings back memories of our family lined up checking out our sometimes 'weekly' books.
