I’m really looking forward to the “Eventide” sew-along hosted by Thelma! I’m a little behind the others but excited to join in! I’m using fatquarters from three different lines for my quilt–combining French General’s Rouenneries and Maison de Garance with Park Avenue by Three Sisters. I took out all of the Christmas prints from Park Avenue so that my quilt won’t be a holiday quilt, and I also removed all of the blues from Park Avenue so that I could make the Rouenneries grays stand out.
Clockwise from top left are: my backgrounds for Ohio Star blocks; light and mediums for alternating squares, Ohio Stars and borders; prints for alternating squares and borders; and assorted reds for the inner borders.
This final grouping wil be the medium and darks for the Ohio Star blocks. I’m really excited to get started–I have a lot of ironing to do first, though! If you’re interested in sewing along, it’s not to late to join! Just leave a comment here!
Have a wonderful day!

I saw this project on Thelma's blog, very tempting except that I have so many projects in the works right now and really can't add another one. You've picked out a great-looking set of fabrics for your quilt. I like that you are mixing prints from several lines.

I wish I could join, these fabrics are absolutely yummy!!! I can't get any more distracted than I am, I've got to finish some of my UFO's. But I'll be watching :).

I lean very much towards contemporary when it comes to fabrics but I really love that medium and dark combo for the stars. It's nice to see other peoples' combos to widen my tastes!
Can't wait to see your work on it.

Ooooh, so pretty. I'm still mulling over the idea of joining in the Eventide sew-along…..really late. I love the pattern, and have fabrics all picked out for it, but I just am so short on time. But I'll say, looking at your pile of gorgeous fabrics makes me want to pull out my Maison de Garance bundle and go to town! Your fabrics are stunning. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
