Hello and happy Patchwork Quilt Along day! Today the pattern for the tenth set of blocks in the Fat Quarter Shop Patchwork Quilt Along is being released. Each month you make six blocks from one pattern; they are fast and fun blocks that you’ll really enjoy sewing!
This month’s block, “Country Roads,” is simple but striking! I’m continuing to
use scraps from a variety of different Minick & Simpson fabric collections, using a different background fabric each month. When I’m finished the scrappy backgrounds will mix throughout the quilt!
The blocks are always so much fun to photograph in a group, so I’ve made sure to take monthly progress photos. You might have noticed that each month I’ve been making three red blocks and three blue blocks, varying the shades of blues.
I can hardly wait to see how these all play together in my finished quilt. The fabrics from the different collections have worked so well together. Lately I’ve been adding in a lot of pieces from the recently released Ann’s Arbor collection, and the background fabric I used this month is from that collection as well. And…I’ve already purchased this fabric from Ann’s Arbor for my backing for this quilt)!
And now there are sixty! You can find the pattern for this month’s “Country Roads” block here along with all of the information needed for this quilt along.
Happy quilting…and thanks so much for stopping by!
PS…All Jolly Bars at the Fat Quarter Shop are 15% off through tonight!

I love the idea of a different background each month! I'll have to remember to do that next time. Your blocks are beautiful!
