I finished the twenty blocks for my Confetti Cake quilt and got them put together; then, I realized I didn’t have any fabric for an outer border–so I’ll be doing some on-line shopping today! I love this quilt, and it was a lot of fun to make. Sinta over at the Pink Pincushion blog is making this pattern out of Aviary, and I’m sure it will be beautiful…almost makes me want to make another one!
I recently ordered some of the new Jennifer Paganelli fabric, Dance with Me. I ordered two yards of the print on the left from Pink Chalk Fabrics to make a skirt, and then realized I had to have some of this fabric for my quilt stash. I found a great fat quarter group at Fabritopia (Thanks Jona, for the Heather Bailey pattern you added to my order). Both on-line stores are fantastic and have great selection and prices.
These new fabrics arrived this week as well; I won some fat quarters of Deco Park by Robert Kaufman from Kathy at Pink Chalk Studio. She had several wonderful market posts and a terrific post market giveaway. The fabrics are terrific–so vibrant and fun. Thanks so much Kathy!
Two new issues of Australian Homespun arrived today. I heart this magazine. I’m hoping to sit outside on a loungechair and browse these this afternoon (we’re actually having a nice break from our typical June weather here in southern Nevada…no 100 degree temps this week)!
And later today I’m going to start sewing with this…can’t wait! Some sneak peeks coming soon! It seems like just the other day I was wondering where May went…now it’s June 10th already! Next month will be my one year blogiversary and my birthday…so you know what that means…giveaways here at A Quilting Life! Have a wonderful day!
