Happy Christmas in July! I have a few ideas to help you get started with your Christmas sewing, and we have a little parade of projects, too! I’ve been working on a “Scrappy Trip Around the World” Christmas quilt with a lot of help from my Quilting Bee Friends! I am so excited to have this quilt ready for Christmas!
Something else I’m working on right now is a collection of mini stockings using Joanna’s little pattern. I can’t wait to get started. I’m using one of Joanna’s bundles of fabric…she has put together some wonderful Christmas bundles using Moda fabrics that might not be Christmas fabrics but are definitely Christmas colors…such a wonderful idea! (See Joanna’s Christmas in July post here).
I love to make Christmas quilts, pillows, wall hangings and table runners.
Last year I made a hexagon stocking using Camille’s “Merry” pattern.
I also stitched up Camille’s “Vintage Holiday” using Aneela’s Christmas collection.
And I made a super simple table runner using left-over jelly roll strips. I have a tutorial for this here on my blog but recently wrote it up as a PDF pattern available on Craftsy here.
I also made potholders and table mats last year using more scraps from my Vintage Holiday quilt.
I try to make an ornament each year, and last year I made these little houses (tutorial here).
One of my favorite Christmas runners is from a pattern in my book… A Quilting Life: Creating a Handmade Home. And now here are a few Christmas in July projects sent in…if I’ve missed anyone’s photo, please email me, and I’ll add it right in.
First up is Hildy’s version of the Schnibbles Little Bites pattern, Speck. Mini quilts are a terrific idea for Christmas gifts!
How about a Christmas tote? Lisa made this adorable bag!
And Ramona made this darling Christmas Cups wall hanging! You can read her post about it here.
Nedra made this beautiful Christmas Pyramids quilt. You can read her post with pattern information here.
Remember, there are lots of Christmas projects in Amanda’s Modern Holiday book, and you can still enter to win a copy here.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I've already stitched "Winter Seeds" table topper by Julie from the crafty Quilter. I made this in fabrics from my stash as a hostess gift for my friend who held our Christmas in July lunch. She loved it and you can see a photo of her holding the topper I gave her on my blog. Mmmm, what to do next.

Wow! Although I'm not nearly ready to start thinking about the colder weather, these lovelies sure make me think about stitching up some holiday decorations myself.

Thanks so much for sharing – I instantly fell for the Winter Seeds table topper and almost immediately bought some of the same fabric from FQS so I could make my own.
