If you’ve already stopped by the Jolly Jabber this morning, these fabrics might look familiar…Last spring I had the fun of putting together a Blogger’s Choice fat quarter bundle for FatQuarterShop. I was ready for summer and dreaming of the ocean when I set out to pick fabrics; I was immediately drawn to fabrics from the Summer House collection by Lily Ashbury for Moda and chose 12 prints from the collection along with three Bella solids.
Shortly after receiving my fabrics I got right to work on “Simple Summer” (pattern is “Simple Gifts” from Heather Mulder Peterson’s Livin’ Large 2 book).
The quilt is the perfect size for a picnic or summer throw, and the stripe binding, cut on the bias, is one of my favorite parts about this quilt! Also, the fabrics are “must-haves” for your blue and green fabric stash. If you love these fabrics as much as I do…you just might want to make sure you stop by FatQuarterShop’s The Jolly Jabber today. There’s a little giveaway going on (you can win one of my Blogger’s Choice Fat Quarter bundles)!
Thanks so much for stopping by; have a terrific day!

Ohhhh, pretty quilt, so fresh!
I have loved your Blogger's Choice selection since I first laid eyes on it. 🙂
We are kindred spirits in the stripey binding department. It always reminds me of those old fashioned candy sticks. 🙂

Of course I had to go and purchase this quilt. It was great to see you featured on Fatquartershop blog. You do beautiful work.
All the elements of a great summer day: flowers, grass, water and fluffy clouds.
Since you are into blue and green take a look at Jo-Ann's. They are having a sale on DS fabric for $6.99 a yard.
I adore your choice of fabrics.
That was me that deleted – didn't proof read it.
Just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration from your quilt. It popped up in my email from FQS and I was smitten with the design and colour. Before I even got my hands on the pattern I had worked out the design and was half made with Bliss fabric I had to hand.
