Hello and happy Monday! I’m here with the April block for my monthly free Block of the Month series! This month’s block is an easy one because I wanted to have a little extra time to get the landing page set up for this series. Thank you so much for your patience with me as I’ve worked to keep this going while doing so much sewing for the Clover Hollow collection!
The new block is on the bottom right…see…easy! You’ll need just three fabrics
for this month’s block: two prints and a background fabric. This month’s design provides a great opportunity to use directional prints you might want to use for your quilt, (you can see that I’ve used a directional print in my Christmas block)! The Christmas blocks are really going to make a fun quilt!
I love how both of this month’s blocks turned out! I’m having a hard time not starting a third quilt using these blocks with our Clover Hollow fabric. I have plenty of works in progress right now, though, so I’m staying strong 🙂
I’m hoping for a more masculine feel for this one and plan to keep it in our den…unless one of my kids asks for it (and I have a feeling a couple of them might want this one)!
I’m
also having a hard time not starting another Christmas version with
scraps. Because I’m so excited that I’ll be able to give this one away
as a Christmas gift this year!
Go here to download this month’s block pattern. And…I finally updated the landing page where you can find links to the posts for all of this year’s blocks. I’ll update the landing page each month so you’ll always be able to go to that one page and find links to the patterns.
Thanks so much for quilting along…I always have fun seeing your blocks show up in emails or on Instagram! Just tag IG posts with the hashtag #aquiltinglife and I’ll be sure to find it!
Happy quilting…and thanks so much for stopping by!

Thank you for the new block I still need to make the one from last month;-)

I'm disappointed, I thought all of the blocks were going to be 12 1/2 inch blocks. April's is only 12 inch block.

Jean…to me looks like just a typo. It should be a 12.5 inch block finished…each unit will measure 2.5" like the rest. Loving these blocks…hopefully I'll get to making them one day! Thank you Sherri!

The link to the February block doesn’t work. Instead Google says “File not found”. I hope you will fix this. I started late and need to go back to catch up. Thanks!
