Hello October…my favorite time of the year has arrived! Sadly, though, I must first say that my heart goes out to all affected by the horrific tragedy in Las Vegas last night. My husband and I were up late last night, unable to sleep until we knew that our friends and loved ones were home safe (we have close friends and family members who were present in the venue and in the areas surrounding; while they are all physically okay, there will be trauma to deal with from this event for years to come). If you believe in the power of prayer, please pray for the victims, the families, and the twenty-two thousand plus who experienced this awful event in one way or another.
Today is the day for the Berry Baskets mini quilt parade! I’m a little bit partial
to this parade because it is always so fun to see your own design interpreted by others! We have some absolutely amazing quilts to share today and also have a fun design to announce for next month’s parade.
Brenda made this beautiful smaller version of my quilt…and just look at the incredible custom quilting! I think I need to make one this size as well…it’s just so perfect! I was really hoping someone would make a Christmas version!
Karen made this gorgeous fall version…she calls them Harvest Baskets!!! And now I want to make a fall version, too!
And here is Hildy’s quilt…it’s just beautiful…red, and white…one of my favorite combinations!
And Karen’s beautiful Amish Berry Baskets quilt finishes up my parade! Karen used five different Bella solids and mentioned in her email that some of the colors didn’t translate exactly as they are in the photo…so it must be even more stunning in real life! Be sure to stop by Michele’s blog, Island Life quilts, to see the rest of the parade! Oh, and you can find the Berry Baskets mini quilt in paper and PDF in my Etsy shop (along with patterns for a large size version of this quilt).
And, we have a wonderful mini to announce for this month (I’ve actually had this pattern for awhile and can’t wait to make it)! This Mini Dashing in PDF and Mini Dashing in paper format is by Moda designer Corey Yoder–such a fun design!
Michele and I can hardly wait to see the wonderful versions of this pattern you will make this month. Just email a photo of your finished quilt to me or Michele to have it appear in next month’s parade!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

This horrible information of the shooting I did not learn of until this afternoon! We just did not know. Now I am devastated by this news.

I got the top of my baskets done today, nothing quilting though. I guess I missed the Parade announcement. Will have to watch more closely in the future! Mine is almost Christmasy, with olive green and plum colors. So, a different kind of Christmas. LOL!

Such gorgeous mini's. Each one is so pretty and unique with fabrics and quilting. Love the smaller version – and yes, would be perfect in Christmas fabrics. Lovely idea!
So thankful all of you are safe. For some reason kept thinking of you yesterday, after hearing the awful news. Will keep you all in our prayers.
