Hello and happy Friday! I hope your week has been a good one! We’ve been receiving some much needed moisture here in the desert southwest, and I’ve been enjoying the last little bit of my vacation from teaching by getting little things done here and there. I’ve also been finalizing eight new patterns for our next fabric collection (too much time on the computer)! And…I’m happy to be able to tell you a little bit about the Bella Skill Builder quilt along today.
The Bella Skill Builder quilt is a project that is near and dear to my heart…I
worked on this project on and off throughout 2016 and spent much of October, November and December piecing the quilt and then piecing it several more times for the video series (at times I was really sewing a lot but wasn’t able to share any of it on the blog back then)!
(I mentioned a little bit about my trip to Texas for the video filming back here). Anyway, this quilt along will begin in February with free patterns available for each section of the quilt. With each month’s pattern you’ll be able to increase your skill as a quilter. Every block can be made using the free templates provided, or you will be able to purchase some amazing Creative Grids rulers to make the quilt-making more simplified. Each month there will also be a video tutorial where Kimberly Jolley and I will demonstrate the block construction process. It’s sure to be a lot of fun. And to tell you how much I love this quilt…even though I’ve made it several times, I’m thinking of making it again for the quilt along…possibly in just a two color version…blues and cream.
Finally, I want to let you know that Craftsy is having a terrific “Buy a Craftsy Class, get one of equal or lesser value class free” promotion right now. You can visit here to see the available classes! Because two classes are always better than on!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

I do love this quilt! There are a couple of blocks that I will be fiddling with the colors on because they look like a giant swastika, but other than that, it looks like a lot of fun! 🙂
