Hello! If you are here for the Modern Neutral Blog Tour: Go Here!
Thanks so much for your patience…I can definitely say this was a parade worth waiting for! And Sinta has been having a few technical difficulties today (AKA lack of internet), so if her post isn’t up for a little bit I hope you’ll understand. First things first: pictured above is “Mercerie,” our Schnibble for September. Carrie’s cover quilt is pictured above, since Sinta and I weren’t able to finish ours in time for the parade. We’ll definitely be revealing ours later this month as this looks like such a fun quilt to make! PDF patterns for “Mercerie” are available in Carrie’s shop, and paper patterns will be available soon.
Without any more waiting, then…here is the wonderful parade of “Canasta” quilts! Izzy made this gorgeous version with solids and a grey background.
Carol made this fun 30’s version!
I love Karen’s spring version!
Judy’s version is quilted beautifully!
Carol made this fun version with Pat Sloan’s Bobbins & Bits!
Connie made this gorgeous quilt!
And Debbie made this fun version!
Gail used soothing blues and greens for her baskets.
Hildy used some Baby Jane and Architextures!
I love the reds in Jackie‘s version…
And I LOVE the photo and the quilt by Joanne!
Jodi made this beautiful version…
And Karen‘s blue baskets are beautiful!
Kim used French General fabrics for her quilt–beautiful!
And I love the green sashing Pamela used for hers!
This cross-hatch quilting on Tanya’s quilt is wonderful!
And Bea used Happy Go Lucky for her quilt…I really love this one!
Judith made this fun version.
Barb sent in this photo…
And last but not least is this quilt from Vickie!
Canasta is a terrific quilt. I love it in the bright, happy fabrics, and it’s gorgeous in the classic subdued tones. I really enjoyed making mine and just might have to make another after seeing all of these quilts!
Be sure to stop by Sinta’s blog to see the rest of the parade! Remember, her post may not be up for a little while (probably not until Wednesday)…and I may be adding some of her late entries into my post tomorrow as well…
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Fabulous 'Canasta' quilts!!! I see this pattern inspired many to make a real treasure! Unfortunately I had only time to make few baskets… but some day I'll have my own 'Canasta' ;o) But before that I'll try to make 'Mercerie'!

Oh my! I guess I better put one of those schnibbles books on my wish list, eh? 🙂 Do they all use 2.5" squares? Is that what schnibbles are?

Beautiful!! I love this basket pattern. I'm wondering if these women bought your pattern and volunteered in your parade, or did you ask certain women to try out the pattern, and if so, how could I be included sometime?
