I love getting the new FatQuarterShop Designer Mystery BOM in the mail each each month…it’s always fun to see who the designer is and what the block looks like. With three completed…it’s starting to look a little like…well…Christmas!
This month’s block is designed by Sandy Gervais and is sooo cute! Wouldn’t it make a great accent pillow?! Actually every block would make a great accent pillow…I’m going to have to make a few!
On the quilting side around here I’ve been very busy with some quilts I can’t share yet…but when you see them, you’re going to love them! I’m also trying to get the binding sewn on my large Plan C…
And my June Bug quilt which both came back from the quilter this week! I can hardly wait to finish the bindings so I can wash them both…I’ve decided getting the quilt out of the dryer the first time it’s been washed might be my favorite part of the whole quilting process…what’s your favorite part of quilting–just wondering?! Have a wonderful day!

Yes, those little blocks would make some great pillows. Lovely quilting on those projects. Because I love applique that would be my favorite part of quilting but taking a picture of the final project is a favorite too:D

Those are some really cute blocks! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas….!
Love the looks of your quilts! I do love getting them out of the dryer too. That part gives you such a great feeling of accomplishment. And the smell is great too. It usually goes from the dryer to my nostrils! LOL

I'm really enjoying watching the designer mystery BOM. Such great blocks! LOVE June Bug. Hmm…I love buying the fabric, ironing the fabric, and love when the last stitch is in the binding!!!

I did the FQS BOM last year and now I'm sort of wishing I'd signed up this year again – those blocks are so cute! I saw one blogger who said she always made a duplicate block from her stash so by the time the BOM was done she had two quilts.

Those are so cute. I love that it is looking like Christmas!!
The quilting looks wonderful on your June Bug. I, too, love to see them just out of the dryer, but I think my favorite is when the binding is finished. It is then a framed piece of art!!!

The quilting turned out oh-so beautiful! Your quilter did a very good job!
Although I didn't sign up for this year's Designer Mystery (just too many projects unfinished), I really love to see the progress on your blog. And yes, the blocks would make greate accent pillows (I recently discovered my love for pillows…instant gratification & so worth the effect of a matching pillow to a lovingly made quilt).
My favourite part of quilting? Hmmm…it's hard… I LOVE planning a new quilt (be it my "own" design, including the calculation of needed yardage, or just putting the fabrics together using a pattern & hunting/shopping for the best offer, or altering a pattern to fit my needs…). But doing the last stitch on the binding is just unbeatable…although I love the many steps in beetween, too ;o)
Can't wait for your secret quilts to be revealed…it's always eye candy when you show something new.
Hugs, Julia

I think my favorites about quilting are the designing and then the piecing. Love the quilting on your June Bug project – goes perfect with the blocks and the fabrics! You have been so productive lately with so many gorgeous projects. I love these sneak peaks.

Those are absolutely adorable! Good for you getting them made up too, instead of letting them become another UFO.

I completely agree with the dryer thing. That is one of my favorite things too! Especially if you use a lavender dryer sheet. Mmmm… I can't wait to see your finished June Bug. Or your Plan C. Or your Block of the month! Sheesh, how do you do it all?

I have to agree, getting a new quilt out of the dryer is a wonderful feeling, but my favorite feeling is when I'm packing up all the leftovers and tidying my sewing room after I've finished one project and am thinking of my next one!
I absolutely LOVE that BOM project, each new block is my new favorite!
