Although I was trying to resist another quilt along–it was futile. You can’t make just one of those adorable alphabet quilt blocks from the Spell it with Moda Blog Tour!
So last night when I needed a bit of happy sewing I decided to make an “A,” “B,” and a “C.”
I’m using happy scraps from a variety of Bonnie & Camille fabrics for the letters, and I’m using their “low-volume” prints for my backgrounds.
And I am having so. much. fun! So much fun that I ended up making six blocks instead of three.
And then I cut out five more blocks to sew today! Not only do I want to make the entire alphabet quilt, but I also keep thinking of words I could spell to make some fun pillows (because the more pillows the merrier, right?)!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'm with you on this one!! I was working on my Small Square project last night (trying to finish it up) and all I really wanted to do was make the alphabet blocks! I'm thinking a pillow for my grandson with his name on it!!

Those are so cute! I'm looking forward to playing with the patterns, too.

I know it is crazy right. I made a quilt to test the directions, then I made the quilt that joined all the designers blocks together, BUT I still want to make another one. They go together so fast and it is a ton of fun!

I joined in the sew along too. The actually sew up pretty quickly once you decide what fabric to use.

Your blocks look great Sherri.

Are you going to use the same line of fabric for the whole alphabet?
Joy says
Right!! I am going to make name pillows for my kids as Christmas gifts. I have also been thinking of words; simplify, love, family, etc. to hang around the house. Such fun!!

I love your letters! I have a stack of fat quarters of Bonnie and Camille fabrics that I won recently and have been hoarding for the right project. Now that I've seen yours…. well, you know where I'm going 🙂

They look great Sherri. I thought I would do my name to hang in my sewing room.

I know I'm a bit behind on this project but could someone post a link to the actual alphabet letters? I can't seem to find them. I love this and have always wanted to make an alphabet quilt. Thanks.
