I’ve had so many projects on my list lately that I made a goal to finish up something every week. For this week, at least, I’m on track. Yesterday I put the outer border on my Bee in My Bonnet row quilt. The polka dot on aqua from Bonnie & Camille’s Vintage Modern seemed to be the perfect choice for the outer border; luckily, I was still able to find some to order here.
The tulip row is definitely my favorite although I love every block in this quilt! I have to admit I kept putting off making the pieced border, thinking it would take a lot of time, but it was actually a fun, simple border to construct. I’m going to piece the back today and get this quilted!
It seems like a perfect finish for the beginning of April! Additionally, every single piece of fabric for this quilt (other than the yard and a half I ordered for the outer border) came from my scrap bins (fabrics are from Ruby, Bliss, Vintage Modern, Marmalade, and Happy Go Lucky–all by Bonnie & Camille for Moda). The background fabric even came from my Bella Bleached White scrap box. Thank you so much Lori for this fun project!
Thanks so very much for stopping by!
