It’s the beginning of the long Memorial Day weekend here in the US, and I’m happy to be just staying home this year. I had to run some errands in the city yesterday, and the traffic was crazy! Staying home and sewing is my preferred holiday weekend vibe for sure. That being said, I plan to do a little organizing in my sewing room and also some sewing. And some reading!

I loved this post on “How to Design Your Summer.” With easy to incorporate ideas like choosing a theme, creating a bucket list, making a focus, and even leaving room for play–you’re sure to find ideas for the perfect summer for you. And finally, if you’re looking for a simple printable to plan out your summer self-care (or anything else) –these free PDF printable Clean Mama summer calendars are the best with June, July, and August all on one page.
2. Recipes to Try
This recipe had me at “sour cream and bacon.” Find the Sour Cream and Bacon Potato Salad recipe here. I also really want to try this highly recommended Boursin Chicken recipe!
3. Quilt + Sew
For today’s Quilt + Sew I want to share a little about our upcoming Row Quilt Mix & Match sew along which will begin in January 2027. Chelsi and I each designed a new row quilt pattern for our Midsummer fabric collection and made sure the rows are mix and match (as are some of the blocks)! 4. Book + Podcast Recommendations
This book just arrived yesterday, and I’m looking forward to using it for some of my upcoming home organizing projects! I also listened to this interesting podcast about phone addiction earlier this week.
