I finished up my secret sewing with a collection we will share on May 1st. Sewing the quilts with the new collection took up most of my sewing time this month. But I also managed to finish up the Double Pocket Folder pictured above and some cute Tulip & Rose Mug Rugs (pictured below). See my most recent Works in Progress post here.
Five Things I’m Loving Right Now
Each month I enjoy looking back and thinking about events, books, movies, or even small household items that have made the month good for me. Here is this month’s roundup:

- Mildliner pens for highlighting. I love using these pens to highlight when I read or even when I’m working on a quilting project.
- This book just arrived yesterday afternoon (The Meaning of Your Life: Finding Purpose in an Age of Emptiness), and I’m loving it already. I heard the author on a podcast and immediately ordered (plus I’ve read and enjoyed several of his previous books).
- This face cream I use nightly. Plus, it’s on sale now!
- Journaling! I love to journal, and this new book: The Big Unlock: Liberate Your Creativity Through Mindful Journaling (it also arrived yesterday) has so many great ideas–I can’t wait to really dig into this one.
