Today I’d like to share my final three solids blocks! I had so much fun with this group. I keep thinking I have a favorite block, but when I put them all together it’s very hard to choose just one favorite!
First up is one of the additional block patterns provided by Moda. You can find the link here. I used Moda Bella Fuschia (9900 190) and Moda Bella Grey (9900 83). I seriously love this block design!
Next up is Sweetwater’s block. I really love the sweet simplicity of this design. The pattern is here. My color choices were Bella 30’s Blue (9900 25) and Bella Grey (9900 83).
Finally I made the Laundry Basket Quilts block, although when you download the pattern you’ll see that I did make a change. I turned four of the block sections a different way from what is shown in the pattern to create the secondary star design in the middle of my block. The PDF is here. I used Bella Daffodil (9900 250) and Bella Grey (9900 83).
And here they all are…20 Bella solids blocks. I really love them all together! There is just something so fresh and modern about the blocks made up in solids.
I’ve had several comments asking for links to all the Bella block instructions, so I’m including links here (at the bottom of this post) to all of my previous Bella solids posts. Each individual post will have links to 2 or 3 of the blocks. In addition, I thought it would be good to index some of my informational Bella Solids posts on the Cutting Table blog. So visit Moda’s Cutting Table today for a list of those additional posts.
On August 15th I’ll reveal my finished quilt top and share the finishing instructions with you! I hope you’re quilting along!
Also…if you have a project you’d like featured in my Christmas in July parade on the 20th of this month, please email me your photos and links as soon as you can.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

When you first posted this, it didn't do a thing for me but now!!! It turned out great. Makes me look differently at solids now.

WOW, this looks amazing, who would have thought solids could look so good. This would make a great kids quilt, they would love the colour.

I know quilters who would cringe at the thought of using solids. They obviously have not seen your beautiful blocks! I love them!

This looks fantastic and it leaves so many options available for quilting. Very inspirational. I must start collecting more solids now. 🙂
